The 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, I explained the electric power steering keeps cutting in and out not allowing me to steer correctly believed to be the rack and pinion. He hooked the vehicle up to the computer and said it was in fact and the rack and pinion. We scheduled a date for the service. When we went to pick up the vehicle after service, I drove off the lot which he stated it drives great and he personally took it for a test drive. Once I to get on the main road, the steering was in fact not great. I called him back and told him the issue was worst he said to bring it back. Upon further inspection he stated when I drove it off the lot I must have hit something and made the pin come out of the rack and proceeded to tell me he will put a screw and nut in the vehicle to hold it together to come back in a few hours to pick it up. When I returned the vehicle it still did not steer correctly. I took it to my local dealer and they reprogrammed the ESC after the alignment was done. Now the power steering issue is back to square one.
2nd vehicle which contact was also same day for a 2013 Ford Edge, I needed my water pump replaced. I had my vehicle towed to the facility. When it was ready, he called me to come pick up my car when I came to pick up my car my muffler was not attached correctly, and it was very loud, which it was not before. As well as the vehicle engine spitting and sputtering, acting like it was taking into much air. I messaged him to let him know that there was an issue that needed to be resolved. He proceeded to tell me to bring the vehicle back, which I did. He "fixed" the timing chain, when I got it back after that it still drove the same. I have no luck getting answers from ****. He stated in our messages the total for the Edge would be $1,100 now he is stating we still owe $807. I attached proof of payments as well as his estimate in our text for the Edge and his "receipt" for the Malibu.

    Business Response

    March 21,2025.

*** ******** brought her 2011 Chevrolet Malibu in for a steering issue. The issue was the rack and pinion. After the component was replaced, I had taken it for a test drive. No further issues were found at that time. *** ******** informed me that a steering issue was still present. She brought the vehicle back. I then scanned her vehicle again, and noticed that the steering computer was out factory parameters.

I recommended that the motor was going to need replaced. There was not further communication between her and I in regards to the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu.

*** ********, had brought her 2013 Ford Edge in to replace the water pump. The water pump was an internal failure, with that being said, the vehicle was not running when it was brought to our shop. The process of replacing the water pump was, removing the front engine cover. There were a lot of other steps that were performed in order to replace the water pump, that *** ******** was not charged for. 1. Putting the Engine in time, prior to removal of the timing components. 2. Cleaning of components that (she was not charged), were recommended to be replaced. 3. Repair of components, that needed replaced, i.e. exhaust flex pipe, (which was repaired at no charge).

After the replacement of the internal water pump, everything was put back together in the order that it was taken apart. The timing chain was installed correctly, and when it was all put back together, started the vehicle, and allowed it to idle for various amounts of time. After complete reassembly, I took it for a test drive, and it idled like a car that normally is supposed to idle, for having 180,000 miles on it and considering it did not run prior to coming in.

I rescanned the vehicle, the communication the scanner was receiving was multiple cylinder misfire. I recommended new spark plugs, due to the fact that the old spark plugs were fowled. *** ******** received her vehicle back. The next time that **** communicated with me in, regards to *** ********'s vehicle, it was coming back because it has a cylinder misfire.

I pulled the vehicle in, listened to the idle, and did not notice the rough idle. We guaranteed our work, so I further inspected the cylinder misfire issue. I supported the engine and removed the front and rear valve covers. After further investigation, the timing had jumped 1 tooth. I removed the engine cover, and removed the tension and idler components. I positioned the Camshafts into time, along with the Crankshaft. After I reassembled the engine, I started the engine, and it was idling in the factory parameters.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: the allegations that Mr ******** is stating that the vehicles ran fine after the work was completely is highly incorrect. So much so that as a technician they should not have felt that the vehicles were safe to leave the shop. Both vehicles ran so bad we had certified technicians of **** And ********* look at the vehicles. The only resolution im looking for it a refund so I can take the vehicle else where to be fixed correctly. We cannot drive the Edge and the Malibu loses power sterring WHILE driving on the highway at a high rate of speed. Which is unsafe, I have CHILDREN in my cars at all times.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ********
