On July 16, 2024, My doctor ordered a nebulizer for me from this entity, through the parent company AdaptHealth. The machine is $100.00 retail cost. When they called me, and went over, the details, the representative said, that it was a lease to own, my monthly out of pocket would be around $2.pp per month. I asked them, to please bill, the insurance company for the total, and I would pay, the remainder, when I picked the machine up. The rep said, that my insurance would not allow, that. I disconnected, and called my insurance company, who looked through our plan documents, there was not any restrictions, for the insurance company to not pay the total, minus my deductible, and they refused, said to work it out with the store, when I got there the next day. Arrival at this location, found that they could not, take care of my request either, as they did not know what cost to bill the insurance company. After one hour, on site, I finally paid full price for the machine, took my receipt, and stated that I would file with the insurance company. On August 01, 2024, I received a statement in the US Mail from Adapt Health, for $100.00. When I called the billing department, they stated, that my payment had not been processed as of yet, and could not tell me where my $100.00 payment was. They also stated that they did not have any contact information, for me, but I have been receiving E-Mail surveys, and this invoice since July 16. I will not deal with this company again, there are other DME's in the market.

This company is almost impossible to do business with. When you call their Columbus phone number, you have no idea which Aerocare location will answer or where they are located. This immediately results in a series of holds and transfers. Today, I called the Columbus office to make an appointment to see them about a different mask. I was on the phone for nearly 20 minutes and never did talk to a person who could give me an appointment. I know nothing about how the company is organized but it is very obvious they do not have their act together.
