  We are filing this complaint against Ohio Exteriors who completed an addition to our home at **** ********* ******* ******** **** in November of 2021.
  
  Problems with the drainage system became apparent in the spring of 2022 when discharge from the sump began to spray out of the guttering onto the patio. We were in the process of engaging a gutter professional to fix that problem when on July 6, 2022 there was heavy rainfall of about 4 inches in 24 hours. I went into the addition to check on the pump at 6:45 am and there was one quarter to one half inch of water over the entire tile floor soaking 3 area rugs and damaging many other items. Todd from Ohio Exteriors came over to assess the situation the same day and within a few weeks put a scope though the drain tiles to determine if they were clogged or damaged and determined that they were not. We decided it would be best to contract a drainage professional, vetted by us to fix the problem rather than hope that Ohio Exteriors would take care to fix it properly because it was apparent Ohio exteriors did not have the expertise.
  Ohio Exteriors may claim that we voided their warranty by employing a different contractor to fix the problem. However, that does not absolve them from substandard workmanship. In order to resolve this complaint, we expect Ohio Exteriors to pay $3400.00 to cover the replacement of the underground drainage system around the addition and also any future repairs that may be necessary because the foundation was not done properly.
  
  We heard nothing from Ohio Exteriors after they were made aware of the situation in July of 2022 until we sent a detailed letter describing it again and met with the *****, James G**** in March of 2023 and have not heard from him since then.
