  I booked a two day stay here. I paid for two queen beds, before even submitting my payment I called and got confirmation that I was indeed getting those two beds. Upon arrival I walked into a one bed hotel room. The hotel room I booked wasn't the same one I walked into. The manager was no help and told me there was nothing she could do, she wouldn't even look at my reservation. I sat on hold with customer service for 3 hours trying to get a new room or refund. I was offered a refund through hotel.com after the manager explained that she could NOT accommodate me but then as soon as we went to find a new hotel to fit everyone, she claimed that she could so she wouldn't lose money. Not only was customer service HORRIBLE, the hotel room had no towels, no blankets, and the floor looked like it hasn't been cleaned. I tried contacting the owner but he never responded. Three months later and I'm still fighting with them to get my money back.

  This business is being managed by a woman who has no business working in the hospitality industry. When we arrived for our week long vacation we were not greeted, the only thing we were asked is if we were checking in and which cottage, she never registered any of the people staying in the rentals, but she sure did put your credit card through real quick. The place was a total dump, beds were broken, floor tiles missing, paint chipping off the walls, the seal was falling off of the refrigerator, the grass was very high and none of the shrubbery had been trimmed. The next morning we decided to leave due to the fact that my father has copd and the smell of bleach was so strong he could hardly breathe, the manager refused to check us out until 11 am, which I always believed you had to be out by 11 if that’s check out time. The place is just terrible.

  Hi Nicole, We have many changes and upgrades coming to the all new and rebranded property. Brenda is a great asset and is there to make sure that rules are followed and the property is ran properly. The changes that we've made to the property after the years and years of neglect by the previous owners has tremendously improved the property and we have many, many more things planned for the future to completely re-image the property. If you have been coming for as many years as you've stated in your previous comments and reviews, you knew the state of the property before you ever booked your reservation for this year and if it were a problem you had the option to book at the many other great places in town. We see that you do not like what we have done and what we are doing and we wish you the best in finding your new family traditions in Geneva on the Lake as it seems we are not the right fit for you and your family in the future.

  After frequenting Uncle Toms Cabins with family and friends yearly for the last 41 years we will no longer be coming here due to the disrespectful, deceitful, and absolute worst manager of any location in the world Brenda. To start the week none of the cottages were cleaned thoroughly. Thru our week here Brenda harassed all the tenants, even with a what seemed like a racial motive kicked out a man with his service dog who stopped to visit family. Additionally she kicked another man out for simply asking for the owners contact information, and had the audacity to call the police and lie to them about the situation. Brenda walks around the premises with a god complex not looking to make this a desired vacation spot but be the dictator of uncle toms cabins. With Brenda in charge this place won’t last another year and it doesn’t seem like the owners care to see this place go under. BRENDA NEEDS TO GO!!

The changes that we've made to the property after the years and years of neglect by the previous owners has tremendously improved the property and we have many, many more things planned for the future to completely re-image the property. There was no racial motive in asking the non guest to leave and are saddened to see you felt the need to bring that into play. We have a strict policy as many other resorts have with only allowing registered guest on the property and beach area. We see that you do not like what we have done and what we are doing and we wish you the best in finding your new family traditions in Geneva on the Lake as it seems we are not the right fit for you and your family.

  The encounters with the new management here were the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had.
  Brenda would actually yell their “new rules” at you that weren’t listed anywhere. When I asked the see where the policy is she blew literal smoke in my face and ignored me, which was then followed my a text message to vacate the motel we booked for a week or she would call law enforcement.
  They blocked the steps to access the beach from the motel side without any signage or instruction of what to avoid. My mother walked around to the beach and Brenda then proceed to yell at her for doing so from the next door cottage.
  This cottage in which Brenda was living in was booked for a guest a year in advance and upon his check in he was told that he couldn’t stay there due to “damage from a storm” which was a storm named Brenda. He then asked for contact info to speak to another manager / owner at which was not provided and again was told to vacate the motel and law enforcement was called.
  The new owners took away dresser to store clothes, the playground for kids, 1/2 the beach access, and are now constantly watching you via the security cameras to ensure you’re not breaking the rules they haven’t posted. Then priced gouged all the rates.
  The previous owners actually approached my mother down the street to apologize for who they sold the property too and explain how hard it is to watch them give such horrible service.
