    I contracted David A******* owner of Giles Construction to paint my house. I gave him a down payment. The first day he said his power washer broke down so he would have to come back. The weather changed so he said he would need 2 nice days in a row to start. When the weather got nice again he kept coming up with excuses for not coming. Finally he said that it was getting too late in the year to paint. The weather was too unpredictable in October. So he said he would return my down payment and I could rehire him next spring. I agreed and he said he would return my money by the end of the week. Every week for 3 weeks he has failed to return my deposit. I tried to be fair with him but now he no longer returns my calls. Just would like for him to be honest and refund my deposit.

    ***** ***** did not complete the job. He was 6 weeks past due and not even halfway complete when he left without word or explanation. He claimed to have a crew. He later claimed his crew all quit. His work was subpar at best. He took materials I purchased from my job for use elsewhere. He attempted to collect additional money claiming a family hardship. He drywalled over new HVAC vents, returns, and newly installed electrical boxes.
    I obtained his information through the BBB through "request a quote". I suggest his business be removed immediately before he causes more hardships.
    ***** *****' behavior teeters upon criminal.

    These are the same negative allegations given to the other contractors that was doing this job and about his work in your home. I did not take any of your materials you purchased to do this job. It all was installed in your duplex.  All communication with you was by me texting/ calling you - to give me call - but you only responded back days later after the fact.

    The whole job that was the contracted job was for me to hang drywall - one bathroom upstairs where as to finish off drywalling the two upstairs bedrooms that the other contractor had already started but your accusations about his work stop the progress ..so l was also to do the  downstairs bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen.  But now you are accusing me of the same thing you did the other contractors. And if l was doing a subpar job to your duplex then why would you asked / text me to get measurements for flooring to be put in the dining room, living room, kitchen and besides wanting me to install the kitchen cabinets with trim work. I do have all your texts and before / after pics of the work l did to your duplex.  All your materials for the job was installed including the structural beam - you purchased from ****** ***** ***** . This was installed with floor jacks to which you said a structural engineer told you were it needed to be placed in the basement of this same duplex. 

    Even your relatives came to duplex to see the progress of work done. And you informed me that you were told the drywall was a fine job being done to duplex and you also said you would go look for yourself at the progress. 

    So the awful words you said about me are complete lies on your part and seem you just wanted free labor from not only me but other contractors that have dealt with you on this duplex.
