    I have attempted to schedule an appointment repeatedly with this dental practice for a dental emergency. The staff is hostile , disorganized and unprofessional. I attempted to reach the director of the practice but have been unable to speak with him. He did leave a voicemail stating the process for booking an emergency appointment. Each time an attempt to schedule is made a different process is given for scheduling. The staff have refused to book a slot. They stated I had not cancelled a prior appointment although I had called in to cancel due to being at the er with my dental infection. I have been advised to file formal complaints and notify the ADA which I am doing. I don’t want others to have to deal with sort of unfair and potentially medically negligent treatment.

    This email is in response to complaint ID# ********. We reviewed our documentation regarding the situation to show the following. This person has never been seen at our dental clinic. An appointment was scheduled on May 2, 2023 at 8:09 am for the following day, May 3, 2023 at 8 am. This appointment was considered a no show when the patient did not arrive for the appointment and a letter was sent advising of our waiting room status policy. On August 14,2023, this person attempted to schedule another appointment and was advised of our waiting room status policy during the call. Our receptionist advised while unable to schedule an appointment, they would be able to come into our lobby before 2 pm to wait in the lobby until a doctor could see them. Our receptionist tried to verify the phone number on file was correct but was hung up on. Our dental director was informed of the situation and agreed that our policy would indeed need to be followed. In the time since this phone call, our office has stopped taking non Darke county residents to allow for our patient load.
