I put a down payment on a Ford Escape 2012 for July 6, 2022, for $200. The total, plus tax, for the car was $2,947. On July 8, 2022, I purchased parts which included the radiator for $80, the headlamp assembly for $100, the fender for $30, and the bumper for $160. I also paid $50 to have the car delivered to my auto mechanic shop. Columbus Auto Parts delivered the car to the mechanic on July 14, 2022. The mechanic serviced the car and repaired the car. The mechanic went to test drive the car after repairing it and noticed that there was no oil. The mechanic went to buy oil and put it in the car. When he put it in, all of the oil drained from the car; that is when the mechanic realized that the car was completely faulty. The mechanic notified me about the oil problem and we both went to Columbus Auto Parts LLC. When we got there, we complained to the owner, whose name is *****, and in the presence of me, my daughter, my sister, and my mechanic, ***** promised to give us another car and to bring the Ford Escape 2012 back. The mechanic brought back the car on July 23, 2022. *****'s manager, ****** refused to accept the vehicle and since then the issue has never been resolved. I complained to the Attorney General's Office on January 12, 2023, and was advised to call ***** to resolve the issue. After my conversation with Attorney General's office, I called *****, the owner of Columbus Auto Parts LLC, and promised to resolve the issue. ***** requested my phone number to give me the outcome of the issue but never called me back up until now. I also paid for the title of the car since they said they have to be the ones to do the title. ***** still has the title and the $3,317.50 that I paid in cash.

Columbus Auto Parts LLC. is a Salvage Dealer, our sales are SOLD AS IS. Ms. ******** ******* ***** did come on July 8th 2022 to purchase a 2012 Ford escape VIN: ***************** with a salvage title consider to be a rebuilder. Customer was aware that vehicles needed to be fix and inspected by the highway patrol before being able to tag and drive on the street.

This 2012 Ford Escape was brought to Columbus Auto Parts from Copart Auction on A+ Towing company and did not leak any transmission fluid. The Ford Escape was driven here in the lot to be park in the dealership parking lot and it did not leak transmission fluid. Customer arrived to look at it and was tested and drove in the lot by Ms. ******* brother ***** at Salau's Auto Repair with phone number ###-###-####. At that time neither the client nor the mechanic noticed any leaks of the transmission, and both drove the truck on our property. They were aware of the damage to be repaired. They finalized the purchase, and the truck was taken by El Pollo Towing to the mechanic's location. The driver of the towing truck drove the escape and did not notice any leaks.

With that said when the client called to say that transmission was leaking Columbus Auto Parts agreed to give her store credit and help her get a better car. However, when the escape arrived in, we process the mounts have to be separated from the transmission or it will break, and , in this case, they did not separate the mount from the transmission and it was torn from its surface. Considering that this was the fault of the mechanic damaged the transmission by pulling the frame out pulling the mounts out of the transmission causing the leak, we can no longer be held responsible. If there is any additional information needed please let me know.
