On 12/17/22, my son mailed a package containing family heirlooms at the UPS Store in Hamilton. According to the receipt, the package was to be delivered 12/21/2022 to the 39110 zip. It did not arrive. The UPS tracker showed a label had been created, but nothing beyond that. I called the UPS Store and spoke with April the manager on 12/27/22, she said she would file a claim to start the process. I have called at least twice a month to determine the progress of my claim. The end of January 2023, the claim for was denied because UPS could not verify the value of the heirlooms and wanted proof, like a receipt of purchase. One item was my grandfathers clarinet which he brought over from ******, 2 other items where harlequin carnival glass vases purchased in the mid 1930's, no receipts for either. The last item was a mortar & pestle my grandmother used, it had no real value. In March, I was told the items were not found and the claim had been denied The initial claim of insurance was $1,000, the cost of mailing and insurance was $90.64. After doing some research, I agreed to lower the insurance value to $490.00 and Rebecca at the UPS store was going to file another claim but to give them time. I called at the end of April and April was going to look into it. I called again on 05/10/2023 and they wanted pictures of the items mailed. I did not have pictures of the clarinet, but found pictures of the carnival glass vases and some pictures online of a clarinet similar to my grandfathers. I emailed the pictures to April on May 24. I called April 2 more times, the last on on 6/20/23. I've not heard back from her. I've tried contacting the corporate offices but they just circle me back to the local UPS store, which is a franchise operation. The parcel number is ******************, the initial claim number was ***********, In the middle of this, the franchise was sold to another owner and since the package was mailed so long ago, it no longer shows up on the UPS tracker.

I opened a mailbox for a year in May of 2022. I was moving and didn't know where yet. So I forwarded my mail to the UPS mailbox on 3189 Princeton Rd. Box#166; Fairfield township, Ohio 45011. I now have a home and went to terminate the box and have my mail forwarded to my home address. UPS terminated my mailbox account and took the key, but refuses to forward the mail. I went to the post office and they won't forward my mail either because it's a business address. I can't retrieve my mail now. I don't understand why I can't get my mail forwarded as I try to change my address with each person, company. This has me distraught and is detrimental to my mental health. I can't get the check I'm expecting along with my other mail. I just want UPS to hold my mail for a month or so until I figure out who needs my new address or forward my mail to my new address on ******* ***. Please help me! The box costs like$200 for a year which is ridiculous so I can't afford to keep it since I'm on social security. Thank you for your assistance.
