11/11/24 All-Pro Appliance Repair come out to my house to repair Refrigerator/Freezer that was not cold. I acknowledge Bryan the tech and introduce my husband and he never acknowledge us, he was rude, short with us, and totally disrespected us as he glanced inside the refrigerator, looked behind the refrigerator in less than 5 minutes and he said he was going out to the van to do some research. He spent 20 minutes outside, came back and said we have a Freon leak and we needed a valve repair which cost $569 plus tax. He had no equipment to test whether we had a Freon leak or not. He stated he would have to order the part and he would come back on 11/12/24 to install. He was very short in his comments and seemed to be in a hurry to leave. He was very unprofessional and left us feeling uncomfortable about the service he would provide nor did we feel comfortable about the diagnosis since he didn't check the Freon level. We never got an understanding why the refrigerator was cool but the bottom freezer was not. I called All-Pro this morning 11/12/24 and wanted to get an update on status and Bryan was rude again and said " I told you the part may or may not come in today" This is not the kind of service anyone should receive with a tech being so rude and disrespectful. We cancelled the repair and feel like we should not be responsible for a $95 service charge. It is not common for a tech to do an assessment with no equipment in 5 minutes from just peeking inside an already cool refrigerator and unscrewing 4 screws in the back, go outside for 20 minutes, then state we have a FREON leak. This is very bad service and we will never do business or refer anyone to this company now or in the future. In todays society we choose to do business with respectful and truthful people who will honor our business. SHAME ON YOU ALL-PRO, SHAME ON YOU!!Business Response

Repair service did not do anything (such as checking) furnace, just installed thermostatt. It did not fix the problems that I had told him about. I complained everytime the weather changed. I had problems - was told to wait until weather changed. He finally came out - said he disconnected emergency heat. It took about 3 wk to get a heat strip (which he said needed to be replaced) after he had finally checked the furnance. He call & said it was in & he was coming out to put it in. I told him the emergency heat was working. But I waited awhile and he never came & I still had the problems. Had another co. replace heat bands.Business Response

The consumer called another company, rather than contacting the business for re-evaluation and repair. Once the business received notification that the consumer filed a complaint with BBB, its technician, who has many years of experience, contacted the consumer. She was unwilling to give the business the opportunity to make things right. She only wanted a refund. The business does not feel the consumer is due a refund at this time.Initial Complaint

On 9/28/23 I had All-Pro Appliance Repair come out to my house to repair Refrigerator/Freezer that was not cold. They came out and found it was leaking freon. They said it would be $500 to repair. I said is it worth repairing or should I just get a new refrigerator. The repairman stated it would probably last a few more years if repaired and newer refrigerators don't last very long. So, I had him repair it. About one month later, On Nov 7th, I came home and refrigerator wasn't cold. I called them to look at it, they couldn't come until Nov 13th. When he looked at the refrigerator he said it was leaking oil and would be $600-$700 to repair it. I didn't have him repair it since wasn't sure if it would last very long since last repair didn't last. I feel like if it was leaking he should have caught this when he found the other leak. I feel I was unfairly charged for a repair that didn't really fix the problem. Not only do I have to get a new refrigerator now but I also lost a couple hundred dollars of food in the freezer twice. I think I should at least get a portion of the money back on for the repair since it only last a month.Business Response

The business provides a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty. The unit is outside of the warranty period; however, the business takes care of its customers and the business owner is willing to send a technician out to service the unit. The consumer will not have to pay the service fee, but will be responsible for covering any other costs.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below. All Pro stated it would cost $600-$700 additional dollars to repair the refrigerator after I already spend $500 dollars on repairs. I didn't think it would be worth it to spend another $600-$700 on the refrigerator and wasn't sure if any additional charges would last longer than a month like the first repairs so I purchased a new refrigerator. They contacted me after the compliant was filed. I told them I should receive at least a portion of the repair charges back since it only last a month and told them I would have to purchase a new refrigerator now. For them to come back now and tell me they'll come back out is not right, they know I couldn't go without a refrigerator for this long. I do not think this is not a good way to do business and feel I should receive a portion of my repair costs refunded.

On 10/3/23 I had All Pro Appliance repair come to my home to fix a dishwasher that was leaking water. The repair person looked the appliance over, ran it a few times and said he didn't know why it was leaking. I suggested he check the gasket around the door. It was loose and he put two screws in the gasket and that seemed to fix the problem. He then charged me $152.85 for the repair. That was after removing the $95.00 trip charge. That $152.85 charge is ridiculous for putting in two screws after I had to suggest he check the gasket. I called the company and talked to someone in the service dept that was VERY RUDE and would not listen to me or allow me to talk. He kept interupting me when I tried to talk. I told him to SHUT UP so I could talk and he ended the call hanging up. Never did let me talk at any length. I think their ad in the phone book is fraudulant, they are rude, they are deceptive, and they lie in order to attempt to cover their back-side. Their receipt shows $149.00 charge for diagnoses and I had to tell the repairman what to fix. This business has a mailing address of **** *** ***, ********* **** *****. Their phone number is ###-###-#### for Kentucky and ###-###-#### for Ohio. Can you do anything to warn others about this company and can you do anything about getting a reasonable charge from them for my repair.

*** ******I had the understanding that my money would be returned. I was charged $152 and change and received a check for $50.00. They have still charged me $102.00 for nothing, because they did not repair the dishwasher and did NOT KNOW what was wrong. Another service company knew what was wrong and I paid them accordingly.

We are sorry that *** ****** has changed his mind and is now unhappy with the agreement (per phone conversation) in the price adjustment. He was only charged the trip fee for coming after the $50 dollar refund. He agreed this would resolve his complaint. Our technician has more than 30 years experience and we stand behind our repairs with a warranty. *** ****** was told the price of the trip fee before coming and that is all he has been charged after the $50 dollar refund.
Thank You,
Chris

I was told by this company that the charge was a flat $365.00, when he was done, we were charged $420.00. When I tried to use the dryer, the dryer drum wouldn't turn, which was working fine before he came into our house. He said it was probably the belt he would come out and put the belt on and would not charge us anything. When he was done, he tried to charge us another $125.00. The first time he worked on our dry he seemed rough with it, told other repairs were made, but doubtful. We never would have let him in our front door if we had known this was going to be this high, he said 365.00 to get in the door, only because we needed our dryer fixed. We were taken advantage of and lied to by this company.Business Response

*** ******** was given a price of $365 over the phone to replace the heat supply kit in his dryer to fix the issue he was having with his dryer not heating. After arriving to the house and fixing the heat issue our technician also had to repair the vent line in order for the dryer to perform properly. This was an additional expense explained to the customer by the technician. The total of the repairs to the dryer were $390 plus tax. The technician tested the dryer at completion of repairs to make sure it was running properly. The dryer was heating properly and the drum was turning properly.
*** ******** called back stating that the drum wasn't turning properly and the technician asked if he had a heavy load of clothes in it at the time. The customer stated that he did. This caused the belt that turns the drum to stretch. The technician showed the customer the stretched belt compared to the new belt he was installing to the dryer and the customer agreed to the repair.
There would not have been a charge if the issue pertained to the first repair. This was a separate issue needing a new part installed. The charge was $125.
Our payments are expected at time of service. *** ********* credit card was declined. He said he had no other form of payment at that time and said he would call the office on November 1st with another credit card or mail the payment. *** ******** has not paid the $125 invoice he signed and agreed to pay for the repair as of today.
I have attached both invoices showing the customers signature giving authorization to perform the repair for the price given before the repairs were completed.
Thank You

When we call this company, we actually left a message and then I had left an E-mail stating we need our dryer fixed ASAP, we got a call back immediately saying a flat $365.00, we had thought that this was extremely high, but we could spare the $365, he did not state $365.00 plus tax and that other repair charge he explained to us was done after he repair it and charged us $420.00, if this had been a few dollars more that card would have declined! When I tried putting clothes in the dryer, the drum would not turn, before he came into our house the drum was turning fine, it just wasn't drying the clothes. The first time he was here he was pulling and being rough with the drum, as if he didn't know what he was doing, which probably is what resulted in the belt being damage. He said that it was probable the belt and there would be no charge. If he thought, it was the belt then he knew it didn't pertain to the first fix. When he was done which only took him 10 minutes to fix, he tried charging us another $125.00. We stated we did not have it, he was arguing with me about so I gave him my debit knowing I didn't have it, knowing it would decline to prove that I did not have it. If he would have said, there would be another charge, there is no way he would have step back into our house. The belt is their fault and now the dryer has a loud noise, and the drum is slow to start turning.Customer Answer
