My husband and I went into John Hinderer Honda on 7/28/22 and test drove a new 2022 Honda Pilot SE. We sat down with ******** to discuss the finances, the sticker price was $46,000, at this point, she told us the price was actually $51,000, due to add-ons, nitrous in tires, rubber mats, paint protector, etc.- they stated they could not remove from the total cost, we did not want the add-ons. My husband told them this would be our 4th vehicle purchased from them, he was a Veteran and a First Responder and asked if they had any discounts, they stated they did not have any discounts to offer. After going back and forth with her Sales ***** ******** stated they could give us a discount for return buyers. (most honda dealers do, and we knew it going in there, and most are offering $500 for Veterans). We were only offered an interest rate of *****%, we are aware they received multiple rates from multiple banks. When they could not get the price of the vehicle and our payments where we wanted to be we decided not to make a decision that night because of the time and how long we already waited. We said we may be back in the morning, ******** then stated if we did not buy the car tonight it would be going to the rental fleet tomorrow. My husband and I were really disappointed in this "sales tacit", we had even let them know this would be our fourth brand new vehicle purchased from John Hinderer Honda. The next day (Friday) we went to Honda Marysville and purchased the EXACT same Pilot for $46,000.00 and an interest rate of 3.9%. The Sales team there was wonderful, they offered us discounts without us asking for them and were very helpful. On Saturday I received a voicemail from ******** with John Hinderer Honda stating that the Pilot we wanted was still available, image that!! In the future, we will only shop Honda Marysville. John Hinderer Honda has lost a loyal customer.

We most certainly understand your concern and are happy that you found the vehicle that you wanted a price that was lower. Marysville Honda is a good dealer and must have had a vehicle there without any additional Honda accessories so of course would be a little less. We would be more than happy to order a vehicle for you and your husband equipped the way you wanted, which of course would be a little less than the unit we had in stock as it was equipped with additional Honda accessories.
