    BBB took a complaint over the phone. see below voice to text voicemail description 

    Yes, my name is ***** ******, address is **********************************************************************************. My complaint is against the company called I Am That Guy Handyman in ********* ****. The complaint involves that the job was to be done around a door frame of my front door, storm door, where the doorbell was broken and lousom wood exposed. The company said this job would be performed on November the 22nd or 23rd and would be here between 11 and 1 o 'clock. However, the gentleman who owns the company did not show he had his son and another party come. Uh, the whole job was done totally incompetently. Um, I was, after the door frame was fixed, it was a five hour drive job. They were here from 11 o 'clock to four 30. And then they left and I asked the gentleman, what if I can't lock the storm door, which was the case. And they said, well, just call us back. So instead they were here for five hours. So the result was the door needed painted white and instead it was painted primer yellow. The door, storm door could not be locked in any way. The door wood that was pulled out of there was leaking inside my house because it was supposed to be caulked. The third thing was they were here for five hours. The job was not completed. I had to call, I'm the guy, Mr. ******** **** was his name. I had to call them back. The job was not done correctly from the beginning. And so what I want resolved is he never gave me a work order or a summary of the work that was to be done. I had called and complained that I wanted a work order of what you had did in case something would fail in the future. I have yet to receive a work order. I requested one on the 4th of December, a workwritten order of what the project he did. This is my resolving answer that I want resolved. I want a work order and summary of the work that he did. It had to be done over and the company man came back and painted the front door, opened the front door and resealed it. So the whole job was done incompetently. It was just terrible. Thank you. The case number on the case is 227-8-5-1-1-9, again, the case number is 227-8-5-1-1-9. I want a work order or a summary of the project that he did as soon as possible. Thank you.

    November ******************************************************************************************  I show up personally to evaluate and find the trim is wrotted. We quote 1 hour plus parts to replace.

    Customer appeared heavily medicated and would not stop talking about the incompetent craftsman he's worked with in the past. 

    November 23th techs complete job and inform customer primer is needed before  paint to outside materials. A return trip will be needed to complete and paint. Tech explains customer was standing over them and talking the entire time, causing them to make a bad cut so they needed to get another piece of replacement trim. 

    November 24th I arrive to find customer door doesn't lock "tight". It worked but you needed to pull the door shut to use it. I adjusted it as a courtesy and painted the parts with paint. Also caulked between the storm door frame by request. (Nobody does that cuz it's ugly).

    Customer asked for a reciept for the 1 hours charge but wanted all the courtesy repairs on the reciept. I explained I'd be happy to but I can't give a reciept for the free work because it wasn't on the work order.

    2.10.2025 BBB received vm from consumer stating that he wants a work order for proof that the work was done if I have any problems.
