    The following regarding the damage caused to the septic system meter during the move conducted by Whitners Moving Company on 11/8/2024.1. Background: ?We hired Whitners Moving Company to assist with moving from our previous residence at: ********************************** to our new (temporary) residence at my parents home (while our new house is being built) at: *************************************************************. The moving crew arrived at my previous address at approximately 8am and the move was completed approximately 11pm.2. Details of Incident?: During the unloading portion of the move, the moving trucks were positioned near the area where the septic system meter is located. The system is situated in the yard beside the detached garage. The movers were maneuvering multiple trucks trying to back up to the garage to unload when I heard a loud bang and yelling amongst the moving crew. It wasnt until daylight that we noticed the meter had actually been struck by the truck and damaged.3. Inspection and Confirmation of Damage?We had a licensed professional (Chucks Septic Tank Sewer and ******************) come out to inspect the septic system. The report indicated that the damage to the system was consistent with large amount of weight striking the meter and it is believed that the damage was caused during the driving of the large moving truck going off the driveway during the moving process. 4. Damage Assessment? The plumbers report and estimate confirms that the damage to the septic system required repairs that cost: $2,300 5. Conclusion: the damage to the septic system meter occurred as a direct result of the actions of the moving company, through the positioning of their vehicle(s) striking the septic system meter. We are requesting that Whitners Moving Company take responsibility for the damages and reimburse us for the costs associated with the necessary repairs.Additionally there was damage to many items being moved that we did not ask for compensation for.

    Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a complaint against Whitners Moving ** regarding damages caused to my property during a recent move. On11/8/2024 , Whitners Moving ** was hired to assist with relocating my families household items. During the move, their team broke our septic system meter, causing significant damage that required costly repairs.I immediately notified Whitners Moving ** about the damage and provided supporting evidence, including photos and repair estimates. Despite my efforts to resolve this matter amicably, the company has refused to take responsibility or reimburse me for the damages as is stated in the contract. This has left me with unexpected and unfair repair costs for an issue caused directly by their movers negligence of driving off our driveway into the septic system ******* a paying customer, I expected professionalism and accountability from Whitners Moving **, neither of which has been demonstrated in this situation. Their refusal to address the problem is both unethical and unacceptable.I am requesting that Whitners Moving ** reimburse me for the full cost of repairing the septic system meter, which amounts to ********.I hope the BBB can assist in resolving this matter and ensuring Whitners Moving ** upholds its responsibility to its customers.Thank you for your attention to this complaint.Sincerely,***** *****
