    The care I received at Highland District Hospital Hospital was good, but the billing system there for my care as a 100% Disabled Veteran was really poor. I have contacted them in person and over the phone concerning a Hospital bill they have improperly submitted to the **.
    I am still getting bills for service the ** would pay for but Highland District Hospital doesn't know how to take care of the billing issue.

    Thank you so
    much for bringing to our attention the issue you were having regarding your
    bill. The bill in question was for
    services from a third party (non-Hospital) service provider that bills through
    a company not associated with the Hospital. Although we are not involved in the
    billing process with this particular third-party, we were happy to research the
    issue and found that the company did, in fact, have the wrong authorization
    code that the ** provided for your claim, which is why the claim was being
    denied. The company has assured us that this has been corrected and should be
    reflected on your bill. If you have any other problems, please do not hesitate
    to reach out to us.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint until I receive a bill showing paid in full and this is corrected on my credit report.

    As
    stated in our prior response, Highland District Hospital is not the entity that
    provided the specific services in question nor are we the company that billed
    for them. Based on our discussions with the proper company, they are
    in the process of re-billing using the correct information and are taking steps
    to correct the record. We have passed this new correspondence on to them
    with the request that they address it directly with the patient. We
    will also provide the patient with the contact information for this company in
    order to help facilitate their direct communication. If the issue
    does not get resolved by them, please let us know.
