We had *** out to do a concrete patio addition to our existing porch. He was polite and friendly. When the work was done it looked awful! There were ripples all over. When *** came back to look at it, he stated he was also unhappy with the work and that he could rip it out and redo it or it would be free. We chose NOT to have him redo it and requested a partial refund. He refused and stated that we should be grateful that we got a usable space for such a cheap deal. I am now out the down payment paid and am stuck with shoddy work on my home.

    Business Response

I did do a concrete pad for her at which it did not turn out the best, so I gave her 2 options either I can tear it out and redo it or it could be free. She took it as I was going to give her the 1400 dollar material deposit back and stated that she would be fine with the pad and no complaints if I did. We only communicated through text message so I waited until I went back and her husband was there at the time so  could talk face to face. Upon talking with him he agreed  that the right thing was that they didn't owe me the remaining 1000$ and they would still use the pad that I put down. Later on she texted me and said that's not what she wants she wants her material money back. At that time I called her and said I would just come rip it out and redo it. She said that if I can garuntee her that it won't have a ripples in it then that's fine and I told her it won't it was one time we made a mistake and it won't happen again. Then she just kept trying to argue with me a repeating herself so I said I would be there to tear it out and redo it and she said no n hung up I tried everything I could to reason with her but couldn't come to a conclusion.
