On 02/13/2025, at 10:21 Pm they towed the car. According to the receipt, it was impounded at 8:32 AM that day! We picked it up at 9:45ish on 02/15/2025. They charged $887.05 in all.Thats how much they charged us after an accident tow, and it was a minor accident (car was still drivable, despite the form saying it couldnt be, but considering the driver was shaken up and drivers door was not able to be opened, the police department called them to tow it away). The town of ******* police department should be ashamed to refer people to them.I called the day after the accident to get it moved as soon as possible. Every time I tried to get it towed, they threw a wrench and said we want to get paid to, arent you afraid its going to get vandalized sitting at the collision center, we can just drop it Monday because they cant do any work over the weekend, well thank god we didnt do that because imagine the cost if we had waited for the weekend. The gentleman in the office was rude, dismissive, and off-putting, not sure if it was the same person who I spoke with on the phone.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/23/2025

On February 13, 2025, at 10:13 PM, C & C Towing was dispatched by the ***************************************** to respond to an accident on Rt 304. Upon arrival, our team found that the vehicle was indeed disabled and not drivable. The vehicle had gone left of center, striking a utility pole; resulting in significant damage.  The damage included a broken driver's side window, a driver's door that could not be opened, missing rear view drivers mirror, front wheels going in different directions, and major suspension damage. Given these circumstances, a flatbed was necessary to safely transport the vehicle to our impound location.

I acknowledge there was an error regarding the time noted on the invoice. This was due to the tow truck operator entering the information the following morning, February 14, 2025. The charges you incurred reflect only two days of storage (February 13 & 14) at a rate of $35 per day. There was no charge for the additional day when another company's tow truck was dispatched to our lot to remove the vehicle on Saturday, February 15. Storage fees are calculated on calendar days.

The customer called at 4:50 PM on February 14, just before our office closing, to request the vehicle be towed to an unsecured collision center in **********. During the call, we inquired about the collision center's hours and expressed concern regarding the vehicle's condition, given the broken window and inclement weather, we recommended that the vehicle remain in our secured, fenced, and security-monitored facility until the collision center reopened on Monday when the vehicle could be dropped off with staff present. Additionally, we wanted to clarify how the payment would be processed, as the collision center would be closed at delivery  time on Friday evening.

On Saturday, February 15, the customer came in to pay the invoice and hired another towing company to relocate the vehicle from our lot.  Two credit card transactions occurred to pay the charges.
I want to assure you that our prices are fair and comparable for the services rendered. Please note that all pricing is calculated based on the specific situation and is derived from a base rate. If you believed the vehicle was drivable at the time of the accident, I would like to understand why we were dispatched to the scene in the first place. Its also worth noting that you had the right to refuse our service or request a specific towing company.

I understand this has been a challenging experience for you, and we are thankful no one was hurt during the accident.

Attached are photos of the vehicle, information,  and the police report for reference.
