    Shame on Toyota of Kent At the beginning of October, my wife and I decided to purchase a brand-new Toyota Highlander. We knew it would take time to get the car, and waiting wasnt an issue. We placed a deposita significant amountbut were never informed it was non-refundable. Worse yet, we werent told about the $5,000 markup on the vehicle until after we placed the order.Recently, my wife decided she needed a larger vehicle for our growing family, and we chose to go a different route. When we asked for our deposit back, we were told it wasnt refundable. As someone in the sales industry myself, I believe in acting in good faith, especially in situations like this. Unfortunately, Toyota of Kent refused to return our deposit.This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I want others to be aware of how this dealership operates. If you choose to do business with them, make sure you get everything in writing, including fees and policies. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this dealership altogether.Update: Update: Spoke with the **, but unfortunately, it led nowhere. The level of unprofessionalism is disappointing. Do better!

    My son, mid 20s went to look at an used rav. The dealer had him put money down on the car. He decided against the purchase and the dealership would not give him his good faith money back. He lost 1,000$. No one would talk to him when he asked for it back, they said too bad.

    ******, When your son came to the store on a certified used vehicle, he insisted on taking it to his own mechanic even though the vehicle was Toyota Certified. An odd request given the warranty from Toyota, however we agreed to it. Before anyone takes a car to their own mechanic for inspection, we discuss the numbers and make sure we both agree on those numbers.Your son agreed to numbers and a deal, took the Toyota Certified car to his own mechanic, had the car inspected, then came back to the store. He then gave us a deposit to hold the car for the entire weekend and signed a buyer's order. He stated he would be in on Monday to take the car, we even agreed to hold the car an extra day for him. At this point there is no 'good faith deposit', it is now a signed agreed upon deal.The next week your son then messaged in saying he no longer wanted to purchase the car.I am truly not sure how much more transparent, open, upfront and honest we could have been with your son.

    Leased a tundra from Don Joseph , now Toyota of Kent in March, 2021. Dealer Installed heated seats and a remote start prior to taking delivery of the vehicle. In July 2023 the wiring done failed, causing the main power supply to all interior components to fail. Car is warranted for 3 year/36,000 miles. Had issue fixed and Toyota refused to stand by their warranty, as i had to come out of pocket. Do not buy from Toyota of Kent, service manager **** ******** not only epitomizes poor customer service but he also plays the run around game. They are destroying the Don Joseph name.

    Toyota of Kent has always taken care of me, even got me into a new Rav4 ! Everyone here has a smile on their face and very welcoming, always ready to answer any questions I have. Would recommend toyota of Kent to anyone !

    We went to toyota of kent to purchase 2 cars. A camry and a Highlander. Through our research we learned that the Camry stickered at 29 995. After sitting with a sales person we were told it would be 43,.995. We were told there was a ***** "market adjustment fee". That ended our negotiation to buy from them.. When leaving i expressed to them that they gouging customers, and i would never reccommend them to anyone nor would i ever return for service or parts or any other reason. I learned not all toyota dealerships use this practice, a d furthr learned that Toyota does not condone this practice. STAY AWAY FROM TOYOTA OF KENT( a ****** group store)**********
