    In 2019 I paid them around 3k to put a new rubber membrane roof on my sunroom. Since they installed it the roof has leaked 4 times causing damage inside my home. The first two times they came out and fixed it for free. The third time in February of 2023 they came out and charged me $300 to fix a leak which I paid. The roof leaked again on 8/17/24 and I texted the owner ***** **** and let him know it was leaking yet again. He texted back and said he would get someone out the following week. I texted him on 8/19/24 letting him know my wife would be home all day but never got a response. The next day 8/20/24 one of his guys, ***** ******, calls me and says he is 15-20 minutes from my house. After he is done I speak to him and he claims to have fixed the leak. We then get billed $350 which we pay. We have a dry spell with no rain for 10 days. On Friday 8/30/24 my wife calls me late afternoon while it is raining and says the roof is still leaking. I immediately text ***** **** and tell him the roof is still leaking and I am headed home to try and put a tarp on the roof. I also text him that I know it is late on Friday and don't expect to see someone today but hopefully on Monday. I wait until 9/6/24 and text ***** **** for an update and let him know it's been a week since I have texted him. I end up leaving two voicemails on the office phone and even call/text ***** ****** numerous times and he fails to respond to me. On 9/23/24 I left a voicemail on their office phone and also texted ***** **** again and let them know it's been a month and I still haven't heard back from anyone and my roof is still leaking. So I paid $350 to still have my roof leak which is ridiculous. I ended up having another roofing company come out to look at the roof and they said whoever installed the existing roof should not be in the roofing business. I ended up paying to have the roof replaced properly and I have not had an issue since.

     I am rejecting this response because: I am rejecting this response because ***** **** is not being truthful. Please see the attachment which is his response. You will see my responses in BOLD RED. The bottom line is this guy ghosted me after his worker ***** ****** came out on 8/20/24 to "fix" the leak. I had no problem paying the $350 to fix the leak but it didn't fix the leak and at that point is when ***** **** ghosted me. I have attached the text messages between ***** **** and I and ***** ***** and I. I also wanted to attach the call logs to prove that my wife and I were never called or left a voicemail on the days they claimed but I am unable to attach more than 5 things.  The best part is that I ended up calling out the company that did the roof on my house last year to fix this issue since ***** **** was ghosting me. They sent two professionals out and they stated that whoever put this roof on should not be in this business. Instead of messing around I had them replace the roof and haven't had an issue since. They also stated that when they removed the roof that Tarheel installed they found that the leak was coming from a  seam in a patch that Tarheel had installed. At this point I am absolutely owed the $350 for the "repair" that didn't fix anything. I also eel that Tarheel doesn't warrant a A+ rating from the BBB.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. To be honest I just don't really have time to go back and forth with a business owner who is a liar. If he wouldn't have ghosted me after the faulty "repair" in August and just told me he didn't want to come back to work on my roof for whatever reason I would have only requested that he give me my $350 back since the repair did not resolve the issue. Instead he did ghost me along with everyone at Tarheel Construction and now he continues to lie about what he/they did. The best part is that if I wouldn't have contacted the BBB this clown would have continued to ignore my texts and phone calls. Send the check.
