I have had blood drawn at kettering health medical center every 2 months. I had to make 4 trips to have the blood drawn and still they failed to send the orders to the provider for review and I have to constantly be on the phone to make sure that they follow-up. And when I do call admissions they have a machine Pick up that is full those no massages can be left. When they do answer the phone they request for me to call my doctor to see if the orders were faxed to them. Last time without my knowing 4 months had passed and the orders were never sent to my provider. I had a liver transplant that the result of blood work must be viewed by my doctor to ensure that I my blood levels are at a healthy level. Kettering Health is very irresponsible and finally I am not going to use the facility any longer. Recently 4/10/2025 I went to have my blood work drawn and the facility failed to take all labs requested thus had to schedule another appointment with another facility to have blood drawn correctly. I would like to have someone from the facility Kettering health call me and provide me the reasons as to why they make so many mistakes

Thank you for the opportunity to address our patient's care complaint.  We investigated and found the orders from the patient's physician matched the lab work completed by our Clinical Lab.  We will be reaching out to the patient directly to discuss and provide our findings.

I was sent to the ER by CVS clinic. I waited 5 and 1/2 hours to be seen. I consistently checked in with the person at the front desk who would say there are 2 people in front of you, then later there are 4 people. At no time were there ambulances.

I suffered during this 5 and 1/2 hour wait, and no one cared.

A friend suggested I go to Miami Valley South which immediately treated me.

I was billed $78 for the privilege of suffering without treatment at the ER.

I see from previous answers that it’s all about the money to Kettering, so Zi know Kettering will not acknowledge that it caused me to suffer and thrm billed me $78 for that occurrence.

When a patient is triaged, acuity is determined based on
severity of illness which allows the Emergency Department (ED) Team to treat
those patients who need care first. We sympathize and understand how
frustrating having to wait for treatment can be for a patient who is feeling
ill. The charges are for the initial triage evaluation done by the RN.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I am aware of triage issues.  However, during the entire 5 and 1/2 hour wait on a Sunday afternoon, there were no ambulances, car accident, gunshot, or other trauma victims brought into the ER.  My BP was over 200/103, which is stroke and heart attack range.  I was also in pain with a UTI.  I was consistently given conflicting information as I waited in pain.

Your stock answer without reviewing whether the triage being handled that day was appropriate is inexcusable.  KMH does not care about its patients because, if it did, it would investigate this matter and, as a courtesy, zero out this bill.

I will never pay this bill because my pain and suffering for that day exceeded $78.  What KMH has purchased with its refusal to appropriately respond to my complaint is a negative BBB response, Google review, and several FB postings.   I understand that KMC doesn’t care about negative publicity because it thinks it has the Dayton health care system locked up.  KMC will not be the last bureaucratic conglomerate to believe falsely in its own invulnerability.

    Sincerely,
