    1. Our property is still pictured on Social Media without permission by Cory Hi*****.

    2. He did not complete the job we paid him to do.

    3. He did not fix unsatisfactory work.

    4. He damaged our property.

    5. We have not fabricated anything. We are not trying to swindle free labor.

The above reasons are supported in the attached document. Thank you for assistance in this terrible matter.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/22/2024

Hello *****, I’m so sorry for the back and forth and being hard to reach. This situation is a complete fabrication. This project was quoted and given a total price. As we progressed, ***** kept wanting to add things to the project that we did not previously discuss. I explained this to her several times. Nothing was prepaid. She paid a deposit upfront which paid for all of her materials and I have receipts for such items. As she wanted to add more to the project she did purchase a few more supplies which we completed. The job was completed except for one area I explained to her I was uncomfortable covering with plywood due to code and safety. She was ok with that and she paid her total because the job was completed. Later one she kept requesting I come back to do more. At that time I explained to her I would return but that would be adding to the project and I would need to charge her accordingly. This is when she began to threaten me with slander on social media trying to bully me. When that did not not work, she proceeded and contacted the BBB out of spite. Also there is no pics of her house what so ever on social media. This was a case of someone trying to swindle free labor out of my small business and when it didn’t work she has spitefully came after my business. It is really hard out her for guys like me because some have a bad name and people know that and take advantage of us good guys. I believe I have text and receipts from this project if needed. This affects my business and I believe is not right to do to someone honest that was just trying to help *****. I appreciate your time and please let me know if there is anything else I can do. Thanks!
    Cory H******

    Business Response

The job was completed for *****. I have attached the invoice and a copy of the check she used to pay. If job was not up to her standards or complete, then she would not have paid the remaining balance for labor. Also if there was any picture of her property on social media she would provide a screenshot where it proves to be her property. Also public photos are not illegal, however there is no picture of *****’s property or anything indicating such. I also tried numerous times to work with ***** and she wanted more work done without having to pay and wanted it done in a time frame I was unavailable. I have attached a few text screen shots showing me trying to work with her and what I could and couldn’t do. She threatened me with this complaint using it as leverage for free work. When she could not get any out of me she has fabricated a story trying to damage my and my business reputation. I tried to work with her several times, she didn’t want to pay more or wait for availability.

    Customer Answer

Cory is ignoring my last response and attachment.

The picture of our property he posted on social media without our permission is in the attachment.

I absolutely did pay him. That was not a question. He asked to be paid and he was closer to being done than not. The last time he was at the house, I showed him the areas of concern that needed repaired (also in the pictures), and the areas that he has no completed at all (screen and other areas to be covered (also pictured), and I had prepaid him before, and we had a discussion about being prepaid. He said, in a text, " I give you my word I'm a homestead man and we are an honest company, I am trying to build a business and your deposit/supplies are in good hands." He also said in text, " I just want you to be happy but at the same time offer quality supplies and work. Also my reputation lies on it. "

I never thought he would steal from us like this, and not finish the job or forgo the quality and satisfaction he had promised.

I was more than patient. He cancelled on us several times and wasted our time with plans to return and not follow-though. I was so patient with him. Another text said, I will complete the job by 1/25 to 1/29 (2024), and here it is May and still not complete. He would make plans to come and be a no call no show. Yes there are texts offering him to come, but Cory fails to mention he did not show.

Cory did say he did not want to complete some of the job of we paid him for. This is fine, just pay us the money back so we can pay someone else to complete.

I never threatened Cory and only provided a safe and healthy environment for him to work.

    Regards,
