    I purchased a car from Bid On Cars in Lancaster OH on Monday 4/18/2024. I paid $6,000 for it. on May 13th 2024, My car died, I had it towed to a auto repair shop on June 4th and they told me that the motor is blown. less than 30 days after purchasing the car, the motor blew. I am a single mom of 5 and someone had gifted me the $6000 to buy a car because I had no transportation. Now less than 30 days later, I am without a car AGAIN and no money to buy one or fix this one. I was told it would be 3k just for the motor not counting the repairs. The car lot sold me the car tellling me they had inspected it and everything was good. I trusted them.

    Hello ****. 

    We're so sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the vehicle. Based on our records you contacted us that you had an issue with the vehicle the day after purchase. We called you on three separate occasions and left voicemails all three times. Our calls were never returned. The time to fix the car would have been right when you first noticed a problem. It may have been fixable at that point. If you continued driving the vehicle with a problem and blew the engine, there isn't really much we can do for you. We are terribly sorry and we do not wish bad luck upon anyone but we cannot be held liable if you continued driving a car with a problem until it blew up. 

    I can give you some good news though. That motor is available all over the place for a lot less than you were quoted. We're seeing them anywhere from $1,100-$2,000 on car-part.com

    If you do not have someone you trust to install the engine, we would be happy to refer you to several shops who would take great care of you on the install at a very reasonable price.
