      Unpursuable:
BBB is unable to locate the business.
The problem is the lack of communication with the Volz, CPA and Innate Future Financials company.
My husband and I have filed our taxes with Volz, CPA for over 15 years without any challenges.
We use to live in **** nevertheless, 3 years ago we moved to ******* (**).
However, filing taxes for 2024 starting 3/2025 created a high level of confusion and frustration. We sent all of our personal tax information to the address for Volz, CPA and Innate Future Financial companies during the month of Feb/March 2025 and no one has completed our 2024 tax files nor has anyone made contact us about our tax information and filing status. We have left voice messages everyday and emails for both companies for over 2 weeks without a response from no one. Every day, the voice message starts that the business is closed, leave a voice message. The business phone number is the following: ###-###-####. However, if you contact the BBB Business Headquarters phone number of: ###-###-####, you are given the same voice message as Innate Future Financial/Volz CPA, very scary. We are overly frustrated!
We are so concerned that our ** taxes will not be filed in a timely which will create an alerting financial hardship for our family due to penalties and late charges that we can not afford.
In addition, our personal information is sitting on someone's desk without direction, worried about our identity being stolen etc. I do not understand what is going on, everything changed when Jim Volz decided to retire and move his clients to the new business entitled Innate Future Financial. We need help. My credit rating maybe changing for the worst due to possible identity theft.
We desire and want answers! Thank you for your help!

      Business Response

      Date: 04/23/2025

******* and I had a discussion on the transitioning of Volz CPA (former owner Jim Volz) and myself as the new owner. This year was intended to be a transitional year where the former owner and the previous staff in place were to manage the transitioning clients to prevent shortfalls of information being missed. Since the former owner and prior staff were retained during the transition, there was an understanding that all clients would work under the same process they had been in prior years, just under the new company. This was intended to allow time for myself as the new owner to ensure no details were missed in transitioning between Volz CPA and Innate Future Financials. A few staff members with serious hospitalized injuries during tax season, began at the end of February and stretched to the first week of March. This left us short of staff by 3 less people than were initially planned. On March 20th, I made the decision to pull all clients under my full supervision and we began processing returns for extensions. Staffing challenges have been adjusted since 4/15 deadline and ongoing processes have been met with severe scrutiny. Our office was closed from 4/16-4/21 due to technology updates that were postponed during tax season in addition to Easter Holiday falling over the immediate weekend following the tax deadline.

On 4/22, I set up a call with ******* and explained all of this to her. After our call, I sent a follow up email (attached). ******* seemed to understand the dire circumstances I was put in as a new owner.
