    We are filing a complaint against Kenric Fine Homes. From the beginning, we have had problems, which include: poor craftsmanship, attempting to scam us out of money, a mechanics lien that was unknowingly placed against us, and poor professionalism. Due to lack of spacing for the complaint process, we are only including a part of our complaint about craftsmanship below. Our entire complaint is shared via pdf. Our driveway, which is supposed to be a brand-new driveway, looks like it is decades old. This driveway, which we can provide pictures of, came with pitting, staining, scratches and gouges, and is not uniform in color. We noticed these concerns months before we moved in, but figured and was told by the builder, that the solution was to simply power wash the driveway after moving in. Attempting to power wash the driveway did nothing to improve it. It was apparent that this was a botched attempt at laying a concrete driveway. We repeatedly attempted to communicate with the builder about our concerns. Numerous emails were ignored. He finally met us at our home approximately 5 months after we initially communicated our concerns. He left from the meeting and said he would start making phone calls to the concrete subs he had used. No solution arose from his reported contact with the subcontractor. We have asked the builder for paperwork for the driveway and who the subcontractor was, so we can contact them ourselves and try to figure out a solution. While he said he would share contact information with us, he has not done so. Consults with concrete companies led to recs to **** the driveway. This is an obvious problem for the builder, given another complaint on the BBB website about their driveway. Our request is that the builder addresses our driveway concerns. This could be done by redoing our driveway or reimbursing us for costs, so that then we take care of the driveway on our own.

    I am writing to file a formal complaint against Kenric Fine Homes and its owner, *** ************ regarding significant issues and unresolved problems with my new home purchase. We purchased our home in July 2023 and have encountered numerous difficulties in addressing the outstanding items and repairs, as documented in writing and discussed in person with Mr. ************ It has been extremely challenging to schedule necessary repairs. Mr. *********** rarely responds to emails, has been verbally aggressive during phone calls, and has failed to show up for scheduled repair appointments on multiple occasions. When his workers did arrive, they often did not complete the repairs correctly, resulting in repeated attempts to fix the same issues over the course of a year. One of the most pressing issues is the extensive damage to our driveway, which occurred between the final walkthrough and closing. Mr. ***********'s team used a Bobcat to clean the building materials from the driveway, causing severe gashes, scratches, cracks, and chunks of concrete to be removed. Furthermore, they applied hydraulic acid to clean the driveway, leaving large stains and damaging the concrete's color. Despite acknowledging the damage, Mr. *********** has refused to make adequate repairs. Additionally, Mr. *********** attempted to powerwash the driveway using hydraulic acid without our consent in October 2024, causing further damage and compromising the driveway's integrity. This issue has been a persistent problem since we closed on the house, and despite repeated repair requests, it remains unresolved. I am requesting that Kenric Fine Homes replace the driveway due to the irreparable damage caused by their actions. Additionally, I am requesting the following repairs: - Fix the leaking external sump pump pipe that was listed on our pre-closing repair list. - Properly repair the crumbling bathtub grout that has not been fixed correctly. - Address the issues with the countertop grout.
