    On our way home to Vermont our trailer hitch broke. As travelers unfamiliar with the area, we had no idea where to turn. We found A-1 Trailer and Hitch nearby in Lewis Ctr. ***** and staff were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and reassuring. They ordered an appropriate replacement and replaced the faulty hitch ASAP and got us on the road back home!

    I had an extremely negative experience here and will never be back. When I showed up on time for my scheduled appointment no one came out and I waited and waited. There were three men in the back of the garage milling around and no one acknowledged me. The place was disgusting and so messy. I finally decided to leave and when I got home they called and after I explained what happened they very rudely told me that was not correct and then they charged my credit card for a hitch they still have. Save yourself the hassle and go to uhaul. I should have known something was off when they wanted a credit card to hold my appt- a car dealership or uhaul would never do something like that. Oh and be prepared for all kinds of political signs when you arrive- theres not a hint of professionalism here.
