    I was sent to hospital for a baseline medical screening shortly after starting a new job with A***** ********* *****. I was assured that the employer would cover all bills associated with this visit. Several weeks after I began receiving bills . This has happened to several employees and multiple phone calls have not resolved the issue. Defiance Radiologist Associates continues sending bills and threats of sending to collections to attempt to get payment from the wrong party. They do not make an attempt to correct this issue and do not do their due diligence to ensure the bills they are sending out are legitimate or directed to the correct party even after this issue has been brought to their attention multiple times,

    We are glad that the patient escalated his concern as we have received 1 voicemail from the patient on his account which occurred one business day before the complaint was filed but he has likely spoken with either the hospital or his employer when he references multiple phone calls as we do not see additional attempts to make us aware of his concern directly. We have not been contacted by the employer or hospital directly on this account.   

    We were not aware of the arrangement with the employer until after the voicemail was received and our follow up with the hospital is ongoing as a result.  We appreciated that we now have an opportunity to make the process better for others moving forward. 

    This specific patient claim is updated to prevent further bills on this service.  Unfortunately, 1 additional statement was sent to the patient after his voicemail was left for our review before we received confirmation from the facility regarding the unique status of this account.  

    If the patient would receive anything additional from our office, we would encourage him to call the phone number on our statement and speak with one of our representatives. The account is noted to reflect this update.
