I moved out of my mom's home on August 2. The morning before the move, a woman from Let's Get Moving said they had no record of my request for moving a piano. She also said I paid a fee that I wasn't supposed to (I had already paid my bill), and she promised my mom and me that I would get a refund. I then paid a fee for moving the piano ($367.50) after the men showed up to move my stuff.

My dresser (an antique they were told to be careful with) fell apart in the truck. They told me they would find someone to fix it. Days later, my mom found two wheels from the dresser in her lawn, which suggests it may have fallen apart due to carelessness.

Days went by. I got no refund, and no call from a furniture repair company. I examined my invoices, and saw that I had been charged twice for moving the piano (because I actually had paid for moving the piano in my original bill). I called the moving company. An employee told me that I was not owed the refund I had originally been promised, but I should get a different refund for paying twice for the piano. He also said that a furniture repair man would call me eventually. He promised to leave a message for his boss.

Over a week went by. No phone calls, no refund. I called the company again, on August 24. The woman I originally talked to claims that people are charged twice for moving a piano (both for loading and unloading it). She said she explained this to both my mom and me. I never heard her say this. (She also said she was still looking for someone to fix the dresser.)

I called my mom, and my mom is adamant that she was never told there would be two fees for moving the piano. I think the moving company woman is lying and ripping me off.

It is now August 28, and I still haven't gotten a call about fixing the dresser. At a minimum, I want the dresser fixed and I want a refund for the second piano fee.

If you need it, I can forward the emails with invoices and I can send a photo of the broken dresser.
