      I first spoke with Mr. ***** on 3/13/24. He called me after I submitted a request for '*** ***** ** ******** to complete a job for me. He explained to me the quote would be $30/ ft for labor. Also, that I would have to put 50% down to get the job scheduled. Mr. ***** mentioned a 3% fee for using a credit/debit card as well. Mr. ***** committed to building a 218 feet, 6' treated pine wood, privacy fence around my parcel and a 4' wood barrier on the side of the garage.

      We talked about a removeable barrier solution, made of the same fence materials, to block the side of my garage, to prevent my dog from getting behind the garage. He replied that, "Absolutely, we can for sure get that taken care of." His solutions included a 4' wood fence in that spot.

      He came to my property on 3/19/2024 and the payment of 50% that was due before I could be scheduled for fence/gate construction, was paid. Mr. ***** completed the Contract/Invoice, I initialed this paperwork and he was paid $3,450.00 via personal check. The total estimate was $6,900.00.

      After completion of the job 4/22/24, another personal check was written to the company and provided to Mr. ***, one of the on-site workers. The amount of this check was $3,210.00. The amount was adjusted because Mr. ***** committed to removing all of the original chain-link fence, with a charge of $2 more/ft. This was not done, so I asked for an adjustment. An adjustment of $240.00 was made for not removing 120 feet of chain-link fence at $2/ft. Total paid: $6,660.00.

       By 5/21/24, less than a month, the fence had nails that were pushing out of several pickets, bowed out pickets, nails/screws pulled out the gate which made it impossible to close/lock the gate. The gate is lifted off the ground by rocks currently and the hinges on the gate are rusted. There are excess knots in the pickets, some which have popped out, which makes me question the material quality.

      Mr. ***** continues to ignore texts, calls and all requests to resolve the issue.

      This company provided a fencing service to us on August 30th 2023. We paid them ********. They were short a fence post and promised they would be back to finish the last post for our gate. On Nov 15th I texted him and received this response: "I actually most deffently did forget!! But all is very well! I will make not of that right now and make sure it gets done one day next week 100%". I reminded him (*****) again Nov 29th. Said he had sick kids but would take care of it soon. In April it was still not done. I have called, sent texts on his phone and messanger, emailed the company on their web page and no response. It is clear that ***** is ignoring my inquiries. I would like to have this job completed.

      I don't even know where to begin... Another job kept them from arriving on time. We were told they would be here at 8am and didn't show until 2:20pm only to tell us they weren't installing our fence that day. Came back the next day and worked for an hour until the rain started. Came back the following day 4 hours after they were supposed to arrive. The fence was completed however, there were several issues. No care was taken in keeping my yard or property clean. TONS of big chunks of mud and dried wet concrete were left in and around each fence post; big chunks left to harden and kill my newly installed sod. Also they dumped concrete powder all over the yard for my dogs and baby to get into. They also cut the boards with the saw in many different places in my yard so sawdust was left in my newly installed flower beds and in the street. No cleanup occurred AT ALL. I was embarrassed with the mess they left in my street and yard. ALSO the wood at the bottom of our fence didn't even touch the ground in many places!
      So I reached out to the owner, Blake, about all these issues and he came to fix them (and to get money we owed) Blake installed wood planks at the bottom of our entire fence to block all the gaps where my dogs could get out. And cleaned up all the concrete that he could get. The mess took him 3-4 hours to clean up if that shows you how bad it was. I was OK with the resolution until I got a letter from our City Government telling me I was in violation of a structure being installed without zoning permits being submitted!!!

      Blake assured us at our initial discussion that part of his fee included filing all zoning permits and it would be taken care of ASAP. I even asked him the day before installation if the zoning permits were completed and he said yes. But apparently, that was not the truth. We're now in in in violation and scrambling to get the permits completed and personally dropped off. And WE have to pay the fees that we already PAID to have completed.

      After discussing with Blake what happened on this job, there were several outstanding factors to your fence job. And, from the sounds of it Blake should have communicated better regarding delays, rescheduling, etc. But from what I get from you and from him, all aspects of our job has been completed. 

      If you paid out of pocket for the permit, please provide proof of payment, and we would be more than happy to refund your money for the permit.

      You accepted no responsibility in the lie I was told about the Permit being filed. I was told it was filed before the work even began. I would like it publicly documented that S&F lied about the permit being filed so that others know before they work with your business.
