  On 10/14021, I signed an online agreement with Advanced Cremation Care (ACC) as they had requested on 10/11/21 in the amount $595 for services agreed upon that would be associated with the future cremation of my sister who had just gone under the care of *******. AAC only insisted that I sign the agreement with the option, but not did require payment at that time. Just before my sister died five months later, in mid-May 2022, I contacted ACC to notify them and to make the agreed payment only to be told that the cost had gone up to $960. With her death imminent, I had to pay the increase. I had signed their agreement as requested, and was prepared to pay the agreed amount before they performed their services. They changed the price that we had agreed to 5 months before. ACC used the web services of ********* for me to sign the agreement. Recently, I tried to sign onto ********* to print the agreement I had signed, but ********* would not allow me to sign in. I would like the amount in excess of our original agreement refunded.

  Hello. This is in response to ID ********. After reviewing this case file with us we will outline the findings below. Please find attached all documentation. Tom Lewis began the arrangement process for his sister ******** ************** on 10/9/2021. At that time, he noted on the registration that his sister was near passing. He was sent all document via ********* to sign electronically and did so on 10/14/2021. He arranged for a simple cremation, black box urn, 5 certified copies and a cremation permit. At that point the current day costs for the elected services was $774.95. *** ***** stated on his registration that he would pay at the time of need and didn't want to pre-pay. That is important because NO money exchanged hands and he was presented the option to lock in the services at today's cost but again, elected to pay at the time of services rendered. Fast forward to May 13, 2022. His sister ******** ************** passed away. Our business endured a price increase on 1.1.2022. It was our first price increase since inception of our business in October 2013. The price increase was inevitable with the current economic conditions to maintain the level and care of service we provide. Our price increase of $895 again went into effect on 1.1.2022. We have attached our general price list. It is noted on our general price list that that "These Prices are effective January 1, 2022 and are subject to change without notice.'' When *** ***** registered on our website on 10.9.2021 he checked marked a box (again see attached) that acknowledged the General Price List for cremation services and merchandise and understood this. I think the best analogy to this situation is if *** ***** went to look and buy a car in October 2021 and told the dealer I want to purchase this vehicle, but give me until May, without money changing hands, I am quite certain the price would look a quite different in the current market conditions.
