On March 5th 2025, i emailed Max Auto lines LLC and spoke with Leo J******, about getting my suv transported from *** ******* base, to my house in ****** **** *******. They told me the payment and I would owe a deposit and had to sign a contract, I paid them 150 dollars and would owe the trucker 900 day of pickup. Which we agreed on the 12th of April. I was told I would hear back on 1st to the 3rd sometime and haven't heard anything so I emailed following up on our plans he told me he could have the trucker come a earlier date I said I wanted the 12th like we agreed on and he told me it was going to cost us 100 to 150 dollars more, so my husband called and spoke to him. We asked about the price for the 11th instead as long as it will be the amount of money we agreed upon. He told us he would give us a call back we have not heard anything, I also emailed him and have not heard anything, we called several times yesterday with no pickup, my husband also left a voicemail. It's now April the 10th and I have not heard anything. They took 150 dollars of our money but we had to rebook with a whole other company. This is completely unacceptable and not okay!Business Response

The complaint was already resolved and customer agreed to cancel at that time of initial request
Still no way to cancel it? Because It was completely misunderstanding and miscommunication since we did Not charge the customer or delay his shipment whatsoever, we still had 2 days to ship his car before even processing any payments, so it was all done by mistakeCustomer Answer

On 2/24/25, I signed a contact with M** Auto Lines LLC to ship my 2021 ****** ******* for $900. On 2/25/25, Company asked me to tell other brokers not to list my car which was a clause in the contact, by direction I reached out to a broker and told him to stop listing my load. on 2/26/25, I was informed via text that the new price would be $1300 and that the original contract was a quote. There was no use of the word “quote” on the contact or text messages proceeding me signing the contact. I informed company via text that we had a contract and that they must abide by it, they did not. I signed a new contract and paid $1200 to have my car shipped, which it was successfully.
This was a bait and switch scheme. Company offered me a contract for $900, undercutting the normal market price, and locked me into a contract that would charge me money if I worked with other companies or didn’t meet other criteria. I abided by the requirements of the contract. When it came time to find a driver to ship my car, company required I sign new contract and pay more money, where still If I tried to step away from the contract and work with another company I would be charged a fee. This contract was only enforceable one way, I would not make company abide by the contract but they could make me abide by the contract.
I am seeking a partial refund in the amount of $300, which is the difference between my original contract price of $900 and the actual price paid of $1200Business Response

Hi ** **** *****, This is Max CEO at Max Auto Lines LLC about Order ID ***********
First of all, I do really apologize for the inconvenience caused by my agent David
I have been trying to contact you for 2-3 days now but there has never been any response
David has quoted you 900$ initially on text based of our previos shipments because initial quotes are always estimated based on pricing insights at Loadboards and got an initial contract which is subject to change.
His mistake was not putting the note on the contract that says : "This contract serves as a registration. Once a specific driver is confirmed, the contract will be updated with finalized rate and Carrier info & The initial quote is estimated based of the shipments that's been done before - It will be finalized once exact driver is found" - why need initial contract right? - we need that in order to start offering your shipments to the carriers officially
!IMPORTANT : You COULD HAVE CANCELLED the initial contract without any issues or charges, The cancellation fee is only applied when carriers are hired and goes to your pick up location and customers refuse to release the vehicle - Its applied to pay for driver's dry-run fee or You could have contacted me directly so I would help to resolve it to satisfy your needs but You have signed the finalized contract agreeing to pay $1200 and after receiveing your vehicle succuessfully - applying for complaint about your refund which Third party Carrier already got for.
All in all, we have done the job successfully without any issues during the process and we made 100$ fixed amount as our service fee, The rest goes to carrier & some other booking expenses
Carrier already got paid 1000$ directly by you and excluding all other expenses - we have only your 100$ made by our company
I'm happy to refund it back your 100$ to your account as we did the transaction 3.5% ($7) back in the day
After receiving the vehicle successfully and paying the carrier the agreed amount - we can't help you other than refunding your 100$ which we made after agreement done on both Carrier and customer side.Business Response
