Date:Job started around middle October- middle November 2023. Paid $43419.71. Foundation repair. Stabilize both ends of house. One with straps other with rebar and cement. Frech drains along floor inside 2 walls.French drains around outside of double garage. After they were done and left, rains came for several days. Our basement wall began leaking on the far left basement wall. We had lived in this house 7yrs, with no water or leaking in our basement. They were called. Field manager came back a few times. The last time they showed up they busted concrete on our back porch stating drainage pipe needed installed. Dug up the filter end of an 8,000 gallon cistern and didn't know what it was. Gave us a $5000 estimate for drainage pipe. This wasn't gonna fix it. We contacted a civil engineer to evaluate. Needed a report. ***** ******, from ************, Wv came. He spent 3 hrs, ******* field manager and another employee came to answer questions about materials. I called him to make sure he was returning following Friday. Over the phone he said that waterproofing cement not used, a punctured wall from rebar installation and wrong PSI cement is what caused the leak. He stated in our phone conversation everything he found. It was everything they touched. He didn't do a report because he didn't want involved in lawsuit. No other engineer would give a report for the same reason. ***** construction owns the ******* franchise. We hired a family friend and he finally figured it out. It took a few months. That cost us another 15-20 thousand, to correct a problem THEY created. If they didn't know what a cistern was there was no use having them back. How are you a professional in fixing basements if you didn't know this. I have 2 contractors to back up what they witnessed due to a bath remodel. I believe most of the work they said we needed done, didn't need done. Their advertising is false. They know nothing and cut corners on material which is fraudulent. We need compensated

    Business Response

    Date: 11/16/2024

Customer contacted office for estimate, indicated they were getting water in basement/large cracks in foundation walls. Visited the house, evaluation made with customer present. He pointed out where water had been
    seen.

The PM made notes of areas of concern, took horizontal/vertical
elevations of the foundation walls. Information was used to create appropriate recommendations
of repairs. Plan was presented and accepted and work completed.

After the repairs were completed, they started having problems with radon system. Customer indicated that it
worked fine prior to us being there so we didn't
question anything and promptly reimbursed them for the repairs. After that received a call that they were getting water in basement but not where we
had worked. We were onsite the next day trying to determine where it was
    coming from.

We paid *** ****** to come and run a camera in lines to make sure nothing was compromised. The engineer hired walked through the project with the PM and could not point out any
areas of defect. Had he seen issues with any part of our work we would
have corrected it.  Cistern being the problem was never mentioned. Last contact customer was having handy man address additional drainage work needed, so we
voided the last work order assuming they were satisfied.

    We stand behind the
work that we completed. However, it doesn't exclude customers from potentially
needing additional work. That's why we include a "Limitation of
    Proposed Remedy" in our estimates.

We are sorry for the frustration they must have in needing to have additional work completed. But we stand
by the fact that we provided repairs that were recommended and accepted based upon proof of necessity.  If our repairs caused
additional property damage beyond what is considered to be reasonable then we
would be happy to explore making those repairs. We feel that we have been
very accommodating throughout this process and hope that we can
resolve any issues that they may still be having.
