*************** water proofing came to waterproof my basement on On 02/17/2025 water proofing services was provided to my basement. Since then the company has sent their staff to my home (5) five times to stop the water in the basement. To date when it rains there is water in the basement. I have sent picture, had conversations with the managers and other staff. The service has not been satisfactory. The staff comes and patch leaks and leave. I am being charged $17,500.00 and every time it rains there is water in the basement. I have sent information to the finance company and the company along with pictures. I have not heard from the company. I am not satisfied with the service provided.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. While we understand the customers frustration, ********************** strongly disputes the narrative presented in this review. The facts of this case paint a very different picture, one that includes ongoing health hazards, misuse of our system, and a refusal by the homeowner to address critical issues unrelated to our work.
We completed a professionally installed basement waterproofing system per the signed agreement. Since then, we have returned to the property five timesnot because our system failed, but because the homeowners basement has repeatedly flooded with raw sewage due to backed-up sewer lines. This is a plumbing issue that falls completely outside the scope of any waterproofing system.
Despite this, our team went above and beyond, documenting each visit and providing temporary solutions to mitigate the effects of the ongoing sewage intrusion. Photos from our technicians clearly show standing sewage and hazardous conditions in the basement, which we have reported to the county health department for further investigation due to serious sanitary concerns.
Furthermore, the customer has refused to enter their own basement or authorize any meaningful remediation of the active sewage problem. They continue to blame our system despite the overwhelming evidence showing that the flooding originates from their internal plumbing and not from exterior water seepage.
We have also provided all documentation, photos, and site notes to the third-party financing company, which is why they have not taken any action in support of this claim. Our company remains transparent and cooperative with all involved parties.
Stay Dry Waterproofing stands by the quality of our work. However, no waterproofing system can be expected to perform in an environment where sewage is actively backing up into the home due to neglected plumbing and sanitation infrastructure.
We remain committed to resolving valid concerns, but in this case, the root issue is not waterproofingit is a severe and unaddressed plumbing issue that requires immediate attention from a licensed plumber and the local health department.

Over-promised and under-delivered. 4 day project stretched to 3 months. Crew did not attach HEPA vac to machinery to min dust in home. Did not wear PPE. Excessive dust filtered thru vent system to 1st + 2nd floors. Replacing concrete started @ 5pm on the 4th day! First 15 linear feet = satisfactory, then went downhill. Literally! The remaining 135 linear feet of concrete slanted down toward wall causing floor to slope. After several attempts to get them to fix, in May they used a self-leveling concrete which seemed to work, except there were chunks in concrete. Told it would sweep off once dry. Didnt sweep away, asked them to return and grind chunks smooth. Said they werent a concrete company and we were asking for cosmetic fix and should call a concrete company. Crew mixed concrete in metal vat on recently installed patio. Dragged vat across pavers leaving long scratch + splattered concrete on pavers. Said will not reimburse us for cost of fixing patio because contract we signed says they dont fix damaged landscape.Technically, its hardscape+says nothing about hardscape. Installed sump pump+battery backup and did something causing water to spray floor and walls. 3 wks post installation, had to call for repair.Crew tried to install humidex and left it partially hanging off wall b'cuz didnt know how to fit between joists of basement ceiling. Crew used white bathroom caulk to put squiggly lines of caulk across EVERY single outdoor crack on foundation of house. The service manager returned to install the humidex, fix outdoor cracks using the prescribed two-step epoxy method to seal 3 major cracks outside and removed white caulk. He also cleaned some dust, just so much, his efforts made small dent in cleaning necessary. Understaffed with crews who do poor quality work like laying concrete. When have to pay other contractors to fix what the first contractor failed to do or damaged, it tells a lot about quality of work and integrity of company.

Regarding the dust and PPE: While our crews are trained in best practices, including attaching ************ and wearing protective equipment, there are occasions during demolition phases where dust is unavoidable. That said, we did return to help clean and reduce the impact as much as reasonably possible.

With respect to the concrete work: The initial pour was satisfactory by the homeowners own admission. When concerns were raised about sloping and finish quality, we returned and applied a self-leveling compound to remedy the issue. This was done despite the fact that minor cosmetic variation is not considered a warranty item under our agreement. The claim about chunks in the concrete was also addressed at the time, and our team made additional efforts to smooth affected areas. While we are not a decorative concrete company, we acted in good faith to provide a functional and presentable resolution.

Concerning the patio: The contract clearly outlines that Stay Dry is not responsible for incidental damage to landscaping or hardscaping in work zones. This is an industry-standard clause, as working around pre-existing surfaces during excavation and concrete work poses inherent risk. Nonetheless, we regret any frustration caused and offered guidance on how to remedy the scuffs.

On the sump pump: A minor leak was reported weeks after installation, and we responded promptly to make repairs. We stand by the performance of the installed system, which remains under warranty.

The Humidex unit was ultimately installed correctly by our service manager, and the exterior crack sealing was completed using the proper epoxy-based method. The initial use of temporary caulking was not the final solution and was never presented as such.

In summary, our team made consistent efforts to respond to each concern, and ensure the system was operational and functional. While we understand the homeowner may have preferred different cosmetic results in some areas, Stay Dry fulfilled the contracted scope of work and returned multiple times in an effort to meet expectations even going beyond what was contractually required.

We respectfully consider this matter resolved, and any additional cosmetic adjustments or landscape repairs fall outside the scope of our agreement.

Drain tile replacement is no small feat and the team at ******* was great from start to finish. ****** and **** helped us compare quotes and settle on the right solution to the problem we had in our basement. The crew that came out (*****, **, **** and ***) was excellent. ***** explained everything he and his team were going to do and they followed through on all of it. They arrived on time, gave me a heads up before arrival and before they finished for the day, and competed the project within the expected time frame. He gave me a walkthrough when I came down to see how things were going each time. ***** was very good to us and found solutions when issues came up (such as finding a way to get around our water heater without us having to pay a plumber to move it). I would highly recommend StayDry for drain tile replacement.

We required a really big job, the cost was over $20,000 because we had a severe mold problem and foundation issue in our basement. We received An excellent quote based on the number of quotes we received. The job was planned out with us, and the individuals that we worked with were patient, knowledgeable, and understanding of our home needs and financial needs. They assisted us with financing and we were able to find financing with a good interest rate when it came to work, the ******* and his crew showed up on time, as agreed, and ready to work. The ******* was communicative, knowledgeable, responsible, and a great manager of his crew. He explained what they were doing at every step of the process. He offered suggestions and went above and beyond when it came to making sure that the job was done well, and on time. Five out of five stars, we would absolutely use them again.

***** communicated clearly what was to be done and when they would be arriving. Afterward, he showed everything that was done and told me what I needed to do to finish putting things in place. We are happy to have this work taken care of.
