I have been trying to order eyeglasses through Glasses.com for months! They are in network for my insurance company - however there is something wrong with the website as well as whatever system they use when you call customer service to place an order and its been down for a long time. No one knows why or what is being done to resolve the situation when I call. Its ridiculous! Apparently its only with a few specific insurance companies, I am told by mine that the issue is on their end. How long does it take to sort something like this out?? Months?? I regret not checking the reviews for this company before spending $1,000 on prescription glasses that I can't wear. My experience has been extremely frustrating. Last fall (2023), I ordered progressive sunglasses with an expensive ***** frame from a location in *** ******* ***** Ottawa. Initially, a staff member with shaky hands used only a ruler for measurements, lacking proper equipment. The glasses were ordered, but a month later, when I went to pick them up, they couldn't find them and informed me that the frame was broken, requiring a re-order. After another month of waiting, the second pair had measurement issues. They re-measured with the same rudimentary tools, and although the focus improved on my third visit, the glasses still didn't match the quality of the progressive lenses I had from ****** with the same specifications. Wearing the sunglasses made the ground seem too distant, and I experienced distortion while driving, which made me feel unsafe. In the summer, using them for walking felt unstable, with either the reading area being too wide or its focus being incorrect. In September 2024, I returned to LensCrafters to see if they could address the issue, but I was told it was too late to make changes without incurring additional costs. I’m not willing to spend more after the considerable amount already invested. I’ve lost confidence in LensCrafters and will not be returning. I suggest looking elsewhere if you're considering their services—they clearly struggle with providing quality prescription glasses.Luxottica Retail North America Inc.

Went to a target optical which I guess is owned by the Luxottica brand and it has been nothing but a time consuming nightmare ever since. All I wanted was a simple pair of glasses and I still dont have that. The optometrist was nice and accommodating, however the staff out front is just yikes. Super rude, impatient and very unfriendly. Unwilling to help. Its as if theyre dealing with gold the way they are so unwilling to help. I told them from the moment I received the glasses that the prescription wasnt right and they just told me that since its a progressive lens it will take time to get used to. . I followed their advice and waited. When i couldnt adjust, I went back and told them it wasnt right. They took measures and realized that the bifocal was up to high. Ok great. They ordered new lenses and I went back to have them put in. Wore them for a little longer and they still were hard to se out of and made me Feel dizzy. Went back and asked to see the optometrist to double check the prescription , but was told again to give it more time. At that point I was fed up. I didnt even wear the glasses because I was sick of how they made my eyes feel. Finally decided to demand an appt with the optometrist who then told me that the prescription was too strong and that I didnt really need the distance prescription. I was told new lenses would be ordered to wear the bifocal would only be at the bottom and I could see regularly through the top. Went back yesterday to have them put in only to discovered that the whole lens was for reading only. Wrong once again. Of course the girls couldnt help me (most likely they are refusing to make an effort because the glasses are out of warranty now through no fault of my own) and had to ask a manger that of course has not contacted me back. I am sure they did not even consult the manager and now I have to waste my time by calling or going in to demand help. Horrible horrible location and service.Luxottica Retail North America Inc.

Last month I got an exam at Lenscrafters in *********** -- which was rushed, though I was on time for my appt. and there was one other customer in the store -- and wanted lenses for frames I'd bought there two years ago. When notified they were ready, I was told I'd have to leave my frames there 24 hours to get the lenses cut, and I couldn't make an appt.; if the store was busy the lenscutter would have to wait on customers. The mgr., ****, seemed unconcerned when I told her I lived 2 hours away and did not have a backup pair to wear while driving and working. Another trip to pick up the finished pair would mean four more hours of driving. "That hasn't been a problem for other people," she responded dismissively. I cancelled my order. The Dr. H****** provided the wrong prescription, so unable to obtain new glasses. Called to have issue resolved and was told that payment would be needed for a new exam. Contacts were provided, but had to wait months just for the right trial pair to arrive. Will have to pay for a new eye exam in order to wear new glasses that was just received from another store. I only left 1 star because there are no options for zero stars. I'm quite upset, I started two service requests and 1 is in warranty and one without. No big deal. So i ship them both in, and am told TWICE that I'm going to be replaced with a comparable item at retail value. Well PRescription sunglasses are $550+, Luxottica sends me a frame with no prescription lenses and says we can't help you anymore. I even documented, via two different modes of written communication (chat from their online website and via email) confirming that I would be receiving prescription sunglasses. I'm writing this while on hold waiting for a supervisor, but basically I'm out $1100 and got frames that are worthless to me.. anybody want to buy some Brand new ***** *** ***** mirror glasses without lenses??? My experience seems to be consistent with the other reviews. Thanks Costa! That'll be the last money you get from me!!Luxottica Retail North America Inc.

Long story short. I tried to order online many times over many months but I get an error. I have purchased from them many times using the same payment methods, but now it won’t work. I have even emailed them and never got a reply. Their customer support chat is hidden for some reason on their website. I did finally get a reply from chat and they weren’t any help. They just reiterated that I call and order. So I finally called and tried to reorder some glasses from a year and a half ago. The customer service agent immediately said sorry we can’t try to order for another 24 hours. I had just told her I haven’t tried for months. She finally agreed to do the order and put me on hold. She came back and we got down to payment. All said and done it was $200-$300. I asked why so high? The last purchase was $45. She said can I put you on hold while I figure it out. I told her yes and she just hung up. I will never buy another product from them again. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experience. I highly recommend you don’t give them your business. There are hundreds of bad reviews online and I should have believed those before my own encounter.Luxottica Retail North America Inc.

Lenscrafter has screwed us twice. We ordered glasses from them and found out 6 months later for our optometrist that her son’s prescription was made wrong! I didn’t even know this was possible. We then ordered new sports glasses for our son for football. They said two weeks it would take to get. It’s been 4 weeks and they can not give us any update if we will ever get them. We need them for football this week and he will not be playing in proper glasses.Luxottica Retail North America Inc.

This company hijacks my online communication and texting to other companies. On multiple occassions I was trying to complete an order with ********** and somehow this company was the site I was on.
