Bought the 2020 ram 1500 in August it was Ram Certified. Had it less than an hour and the oil cooler started pouring oil everywhere. Took it back to the dealership and they had it about a week and returned the vehicle and guaranteed it was in perfect shape. I got it home and the next day I smelled oil again and crawled underneath and seen oil everywhere from the front to the back of the truck. I called the dealership and they told me the tech must’ve forgot to degrease it. 2 days later they called for me to come get it. I had it for about 2 weeks and I went out to warm it up before a short family trip and one of the kids came in and said they smelled gas. I went out and the truck wasn’t running and there was fuel everywhere in my driveway. Once again called the dealership and told them and they had it towed. They called a couple days later and said they had the lowest tech working on it and he didn’t put the fuel clips back on all the way. They completely downplayed how serious this could’ve been. An engine fire could’ve started while I had my family in the vehicle. I never received 1 apology from anyone. All because someone that should’ve been working on the vehicle was allowed to. I wouldn’t trust my 10 year old to work on it she’s not qualified. So a week later I noticed the familiar smell of oil. I called and made them pick it up the next day. The called me back and it was a vvt valve and it supposedly took 2 weeks to get the part because of the strikes. I looked at the engine bay a few days later because I smelled oil again and I noticed the part doesn’t look new and it was coated in oil again. There’s no way in **** it’s going back to Charlie’s dodge a 5th time. I’ve lost so much time and incurred expenses driving back and forth. They’ve literally had the vehicle more than me in the 2 months I’ve owned it. I have no confidence in the service department whatsoever. I’m just worried about the future of this vehicle I don’t know if it will last.Customer Answer

In the middle of December 2022, My son smelled gas in our 2014 Jeep Wrangler and we had it towed to Charlie's. A couple of days later, I was told that one fuel line was leaking but that the part was on back order. Over the next two months, I kept being told that the part was back ordered again and again, I was assured by **** that they had exhausted all sourcing including OEM parts through other Jeep dealers. In March, I offered to help and was told I could. I was given a part number by ***. I called the Jeep dealer I originally purchased my vehicle from and they were able to locate a part within 24 hours. I purchased the part for $ 50.00 and had it delivered to Charlie's. When I had not heard back from them, I called back just to find out that *** had given me the wrong part number. **** admitted as such and again, he assured me that they had exhausted all sources and could not find that part available. He again agreed for me to search for the part. Again and after 24 hours I found the new part. I forwarded the information to **** who suddenly said that his management would not allow him to get a part from another Jeep dealer. Something I had never heard of. I them called another Jeep dealer who had no problem doing so. I then called Charlie's Jeep to tell them that I wanted to transfer my Jeep. They then decided that because I was no willing to wait for the part (5 months), I had to pay the $ 195 diagnostic fee. I paid it, had the vehicle towed for $ 95 and the new dealer obtained the part immediately. Unfortunately, when thy diagnosed the car, they could not find the leak, they wiggled every fuel line, drove the car around for 3 days and still could not find the leak. Charlie's Jeep hires an apparently incompetent staff that cannot properly identify the issues but also very dishonest people who do not live by their work but then make you pay for their incompetence.Business Response

Mr. ********* had his 2014 Jeep Wrangler towed into Charlies CDJR due to the vehicle not starting and leaking gas, tech. inspected vehicle and found fuel line that runs under the intake manifold leaking gas due to line quick connect not holding causing leak and vehicle to not start, tech made temporary repair to fuel line in order to start vehicle and drive out and not leak gas everywhere, the part required for the repair was and is still on back order from Stellantis, the part number that was given to the customer was incorrect and admitted the mistake, the customer made the decision to take to the vehicle to another dealer for them to install the fuel line (which was incorrect part) and was told there were no leaks, the dealer the vehicle was taken to did not inspect the fuel line under the intake to see the temporary repair made by technician and they road tested for 3 days and returned to the customer with no repairs made, the customer paid Charlies CDJR $188.56 with tax and believe for the diagnosis and temporary repair of the vehicle we are justified in the charges, also tried to contact Mr ********* 5/10/23 @ 4:09pm could not leave meassage voicemail was full, called the other number we have on file and talked to ******* the owner of the vehicles son and was informed they no longer have the vehicle.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:This the 1st time I ever hear that they made a temporary fix. I was never told. 2nd and they omitted this, after they provided me with the correct part number, they initially accepted the idea of me helping finding it it. Then they decided against using an available original OEM part from another Jeep dealer. Nothing in the communication was professional. Apparently, they are not willing to refund any incurred expenses.
Sincerely,

I purchased a brand new 2022 Ram ProMaster City van on 6/22/22 from Charlie's Dodge with only 33 miles on it, for $34,149.94. The day I purchased the van I questioned if the roof had been repainted and was told by the salesman it had not been repainted. The next day we found overspray on the van and took the van back to the dealership and again questioned if the roof had been repainted and was told "No" it was not. On the 3rd day we took the van to the body shop manager and he determined that the roof of the van had been damaged, repaired and repainted very poorly, requiring a complete roof replacement. We requested a replacement van and the dealership said they didn't have one and couldn't get one. They said they could repair this van but had no idea when parts would be in or when they could get it scheduled for repair. I purchased the van for our business and have not been able to use the van and do not know when we will be able to use it. I paid full price for the van as we thought we were purchasing a brand new van and it turns out we purchased a damaged van and the price should reflect that.Business Response

The business informed BBB that the consumer's vehicle was not in a wreck, but does have a slight wrinkle in the roof. Chrysler will not buy back the vehicle for that type of damage. Chrysler has agreed to pay to replace the roof. The business has order two new roof, but both times they came in damaged. The business currently has a third roof on order. When it comes in, the business will be happy to install for the consumer.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I have no idea if the replacement panel is ever going to come in undamaged, therefore I don't know if the van will ever be fixed. I purchased a brand new van that was supposed to be undamaged. I paid sticker price for this new van. Because it is damaged it does not have the same value of a brand new van, I want some sort of refund because of this.
Sincerely,
**** *****
