    May 20, 2024
    $5,500.00
Hired to excavate and WATERPROOF left rear corner of house, PARGED exterior wall, applied foundation coating.
Notified "Buck" that sump pump not working properly on 5/30/23. Came to house a few days later and put "sock" (what a joke!) on end of pipe that drains into sump pump basin. Gave me extra "socks" to replace "tarred" ones. Buck admitted that "George" put way to much tar on. Due to excess amount of waterproofing material used (TAR), the crock is lined with black tar along with it being on the sump pump and water fed backup system. The basement smelled like tar! Waited two weeks, texted Buck again. On 9/7/23 he advised me that he had contacted Joe (should be Bill) ***** (who installed the water fed backup system) and that he would be contacting me when he available. Texted Bill ***** on 9/19/23 to find out when he can stop at the house. Spoke with Bill ***** later in the day, he had not heard from Buck. Called Buck various times, no answer or returned call. 10/13/23 Buck texted that he had contacted ***** and he would be contacting me. That was the last time I had any communication with Buck. Spoke with ***** on 10/17/23, he told me that he would NOT take care of the mess that the tar made and then be responsible for the damage done by Buck. Called Buck and asked him to call me, but never heard from him. I tried to clean as much of the tar off of everything myself. Then in August, 2024, the sump pump failed and I had to replace it. The old sump pump was covered in tar and because of that, the float could not go up and down to work properly.
