      On October 13th, 2023 I dropped off 3 pairs of *** boots for cleaning. I was told to pick them up a week later. When I returned to pick them up, they were only able to find 2 pairs of my shoes. I was told that they would look for them and to come back or call in a week. I have since been up there twice afterwards and each time they take my number and say they will call once found. I asked them to just pay me the value of my used boots ($150) since they were slightly worn. They refuse to pay me and keep sending me away as they “look for them.” It is now December 28th, 2023. I am once again asking for my shoes or the value. The owner was very rude and once again took my number with the promise to call. I would just like replacement of my shoes or the money for them and they will never recieve my business again.

      I took my **** **** Loafers to the shop on ***** ******* **** *********, OH for repair of my leather uppers/hand sewed soles/ handmade pinch tassels loafers/ shoes /hand antiqued leather uppers color of cognac shoe/loafers genuine hand sewn soles (bottom of shoe) combination stacked leather heel size 9.5 Narrow some time pass went to pick up my loafers/shoes which is one of a kind and they could not find my shoes I dropped off, either the shoes grew legs and walked out of the shop or the staff sold/stole them the shoes are irreplaceable I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau as well as small claim court when a person take shoes in for repair you expect to pick up your shoes not "we can't find them" I am very upset or this entire matter I recommend anyone going to the multiple locations of ***** shoe repair DO NOT GO find another shop if u want your shoes back. I talked to the owner, and he stated he needed time to find the shoes. He stated he would get back to me in 10 days I have not heard from him after 15 days which has passed. I advised him if he did not get back to me, I would be filing a complaint with the BBB. We talked and he said he would get back to me, which he has not done at this point I am filing a complaint. over the disappearance of my custom-made **** **** leather uppers/ hand sewed soles (bottom of shoe)/ handmade tassels. This shoe is not made any more by **** **** and was expensive ($200.00) when I bought them 14 years ago. I am terribly upset and angry over this matter.

      I've spoken to ******. He said he offered the consumer to come into the shop and he would pay for the missing shoes. He thought the consumer was going to come in but never heard from her. The offer is still open and the consumer can come in to discuss the matter.

      RECEIVED VIA PHONE BY BBB STAFF MEMBER:

      The consumer has stated she contacted the business on p/27. She was told ****** was not in but he will be in tomorrow. She went to the shop the next day on 9/28 but ****** was not in as she was told. She asked the staff member ******* when he would be in but she said she didn't know. The consumer left the information regarding her complaint and the cost of her shoes. The consumer is disappointed that the business did not follow through on their word and would like to know when to expect her refund?

      Mr. ***** said the customer left her shoes there for 5 months before she came back to get them. Their receipt say they are not responsible for the shoes after 30 days.  When items are not picked up, they will try to contact the customer. If they are unable to reach the customer, they donate items to ********* ***** ********* etc.  They are emailing me a picture of their records on this customer.
