Haury Concrete was hired to come to our house and create a concrete patio at the back of our house. 5/31 and 6/2/24 are the dates they came to complete the project. Project was finished on 6/2 so a check was written to them before they left for $9160.00. Initially when I came home from work it looked ok but when I started to inspect it the problems were clear that water was going to be a problem with collecting in some places. Specifically a huge problem with it flooding right to my garage entry door. Then started to realize that the entire patio was built way too high. The grading issue was made too steep in most places causing problems when winter hits with ice and slip issues. By our driveway the approach to the door has close to an 1 1/2 inch of fall in 4 feet. The siding on our garage is encased in concrete, so when we want to replace it we wont be able to get it all out. It being set so much higher than our lawn we are worried about it getting washed out and not properly excavated. And you can see where water will pool in multiple spots along the house and garage. The builder did come and attempt to fix the problem with water flooding into the garage door by installing a trench drain. The drain was not installed how we wanted it and didn't solve the problem with water still collecting. Another issue was lack of communication from the builder. He had concerns that he never ran by us about how we would like it to be handled. And after everything was done he then expressed concern about even taking the job because it would be difficult. But none of this was made aware to us before hand. We have had 2 experts in the field come and inspect the job and have made lists with all the issues and said we have every right to be upset. Haury has been ignoring our attempts to contact since 7/2/24 was the last response we have got from him. We have records of our multiple attempts to contact him after that. Emails, phone calls and texts.

    (BBB Transcription per Phone Call)

The concrete was poured away from the house and garage.  The consumer reported there was water collecting by the garage door, so we went out and installed a drain at no cost.  The consumer reported water was still collecting in the same area, so I went back during the heavy rains and didn't witness any water collecting.  The consumer had a concern about the concrete being up to the siding. The existing siding is aluminum and when installing new vinyl siding a vinyl "J" channel would sit right over the existing siding and would not create an issue. The consumer was happy with the completed job and paid in full after inspecting it.
