**** Perforamnce Coatings had given PO#***** to ***** ******* at Best Aire to return our air compressor, Kaeser Compressor model AS 35, to operating condition. Reviewing history of all email communciation, there is nothing in the email's that state that this compressor is beyond repair. The repair was accepted by Mr. ******* and we proceeded. During the initial stages of repair, we were notified that there were issues with missing belts that were destroyed on the machine. We had authorized further repair to resolve the issues noticed. Upon installing the machine, the belts immediately failed and the compressor was not functional. We contacted Mr. ******* and it was stated that **** was repsonsible for putting new belts on the unit. **** disagreed with this approach but in an effort to resovle the issue, we had purchased belts for a cost of $285.00 from another source and installed. The newly installed belts immediately were destroyed in initial operation of the machine. We had contacted Mr. ******* and this is where disagreements had begun. **** was only able to put less than 20 hours on this equipment. After requesting a conference call, it was noted that this compressor was not worthy of repairing due to its age. The obvious question was asked by **** why the job was accepted by Best Aire wihtout hesitation if this repair was not practical? **** has no value in this repair that is paid in full. Best Aire stated thier postiion that they were not responsible further. After discussing further action from ****, it was stated to tht they woudl look at the compressor one additional time. In this same time period, we had recieved an additional invoice for repair of a non working unit that a purchase order was not issued or authorized to repair. We have decided not to send the unit as we are fearful of Best Aire holding the unit until the non authorized invoice is paid. We woudl like to resolve this prior to moving to further legal action.
