They order an oil pan for $1040.54 and put one on that was 493.00 dollars. Which was at less quality of the one I had one. Got motor back and water jacket bolts were stripped out had to fix. Which was $146.12. No oil in motor which was charged $153.57 . No oil filter which was 11.74.

We tried to explain this to the customer and she would not listen. The oil pan that was on the engine originally did fit the engine but had clearance issues in their custom race car. They did the install on themselves. We only rebuilt the engine. When they brought the engine back, we bought a new oil pan that was of comparable price (Not $493) and we did not charge any labor to replace the oil pan the 2nd time. We went above and beyond what we needed to do to help them out. As far as the oil and filter, the oil that is on the Invoice is break-in oil that was used on the dyno to dyno the engine. That oil was drained when it was done on the dyno, as that is not the correct oil to race with. The oil filter was used on the dyno and was on the engine when it left the shop here. The bolts that were supposedly stripped were not an issue during our hard runs on the dyno and the bolts torqued down fine during our assembly process.
