    A written contract between Barger Tree and myself to cut down 3 trees, clean up and grind stumps is attached. The trees were cut down, but no stumps were ground off and trees are still laying in my yard from 10/13/2023. They were only there one day with the promise to return and clean up my property as you can see in the attached text messages. My property was also damaged by Robert B***** who ran into the brick post and flower box at the end of my driveway which they promised to fix when they returned to complete the work. The only thing keeping it from falling back into my driveway or the road is a piece of branch, as you can see in the attached photos. I need the work to be completed by another company now so I am requesting a complete refund of my monies to pay someone else.

    ****hew Barger of Barger’s Tree Services / Barger and Son Tree Services. The firewood is not as advertised! The 2 cords of wood we got for $600 total is not properly seasoned and had moisture meter readings of 27% and higher with some maxing out the meter. Anything above 20% is industry and Fire Marshall approved as unsafe to burn do to the risk of chimney fire due to excess creosote. I called **** and expressed my concerns with the wood within 4-5 hours after delivery. **** offered to exchange the wood and I was satisfied with that solution. I also informed him we did not get a receipt, which is one of the many state laws and rules for those selling wood in volume, such as ****. He asked me what information I needed on the receipt and told me he was not comfortable including the company address on the receipt and that he would write something up. He told me he would be to the house at 2:30 to exchange the wood and had my receipt. When he had not arrived by 3:45 I called his cell. He answered and said he was 20 minutes away and would be there shortly. An hour and a half went by and he still hadn’t arrived. I called again and it went straight to voicemail. Called again and the same. I then called from another phone and he answered and when he found out it was me, he hung up. He has also blocked me on Facebook Marketplace and the post advertising the wood. Luckily I was smart enough to take screenshots of the post, and all of our communication took place on Facebook messenger and I have every exchange saved and can provide as proof in addition to pictures and video. I have called Secretary of States office, State Auditor and Ohio Dept of Ag and there is not business registration filed, no vendors license to sell wood, no record of completed compliance classes completed with OH Dept of Forestry or active workman's comp coverage. That combined with the fact he claims to have been in business for over 20 years and wasn't familiar with receipts is not on the up and up.
