    On 11/14/23, a contractor (Ross Calabro was the name on the business card the contractor gave me) from Calabro & Son’s sent me a proposal for a porch rebuild, but the contract did not include the required language from ******** ***** program for me to qualify for the loan. The contractor said that they would be able to start in late March or early April. I called him on November 16 and followed up with an email that same day reminding the contractor that I was going through the Heritage Home program and using a loan through them, and that they required certain guidelines and requirements be followed by the contractor, and that it needed to be included in the written contract. The contractor promised several times to update that contact but never did. I emailed him and called numerous times (Emails: 11/16/2023, 2/27/2024, 3/2/2024; Calls: 11/16/2023 1/3/2024, 1/4/2024, 2/29/2024, 3/2/2024, 3/4/2024, 5/8/2024, 5/13/2024) to get him to update the contract. Each time I called the contractor, he told me that he was on vacation or out of the office but would update the contact when he returned. The last time the contractor returned my phone call was March 2. On May 13, 2024 I drove to their address to try to speak to someone in person, but no one answered the door. While in the parking lot I called again, and this time the contractor answered his phone and informed me that he hadn't returned my phone calls because he was too busy. He stated that he was not doing my porch and steps because I didn't agree to his contact. I reminded him of my numerous attempts to get him to update the contract. He said that maybe he could squeeze me in in the fall. I reminded him that I was cited by the City in February for failure to repair/replace my steps (which I told him in a voice message I left for him on March 1, 2024). At this point I don't trust that the contractor will follow through on either updating the contract or with doing the mason work.
