    On May 4th 2024, DND Mechanical (********* ******-Owner) replaced my heat pump and air handler. He also replaced my existing thermostat with a defective one. After completing the job on May 11th 2024, I tried to contact him on May 18th,19th, and 20th to come back and install a replacement thermostat that I purchased to correct the problem. He never returned any emails, texts or calls. I had to call another HVAC company to come out and replace the stat and also check his work. The tech noticed several issues that were performed. First off the air handler cabinet was too large for the existing duct below it. Causing the system to choke over time from inadequate air flow. Next was a solenoid that he stated he never saw used on a residential installation. (This solenoid cost me another $250. over the quoted amount of the installation from DND Mech.) Next was the condensation tube. This required a trap to be fitted. There was none. Next was the in-line filter to the heat pump. Report shows a one way filter was installed, but heat pumps require a two way unit. In total this company has ignored the amount of $53.75 for a replacement stat. $250. overcharged for a part (solenoid) that was not needed. And the amount fo $224.67 for the service call to install the stat and check out report of the install. Total I have demanded to be refunded $528.42 and this company (individual) has ignored the email sent to him regarding this matter.
