    Furnace blower fan isn't.
    working evans said it need cleaned got a second opinion and did a cleaning come to find out its thousand dollar part that's still under warranty that evans does not want to replace or warranty out we are in winter it's cold in my house and I have four dogs I need this to get fixed asap

     I talked to my technician and contacted the customer regarding his complaint. Both the technician and the customers stories aligned. The Technician went to the customers house for a service call regarding his furnace. The furnace was working properly when he was there and there was a fault code showing for his high limit switch (the furnace was overheating at the heat exchanger). This is normally caused due to a dirty filter, clogged heat exchanger, or clogged A- coil. The Tech had saw dirty filters laying by the furnace, and since the furnace was working properly while he was there, he figured it was from a dirty filter. The customer confirmed that while the tech was there the furnace was working properly. The tech charged the customer for a trip charge and told him if the furnace had any more issues, he would come back without charging another trip charge as we normally do. The customer called the next day and said his furnace was having issues again. The tech informed him what the possible causes could be (dirty coil, clogged heat exchanger) and what the cost would be for each. He informed the customer that he would not be charged for the repairs if it did not fix the problem. The customer was irritated at the cost of the repairs and hung on my tech. He later called the office manager to complain and inform her that he was turning us into BBB. He never asked to talk to me. After I received the complaint, I called the customer to resolve the issue and to see what had upset him. He confirmed my tech's story and said he called another company. The blower motor was not working when the other company arrived, so it was easy to diagnose. He said the company told him it would cost $1,000 to replace the blower motor which did not make sense to us because it was under warranty. They sold him a new furnace knowing his was only 2 years old. I did everything I could to resolve this issue and told him I would reimburse him the trip charge. We have never had anyone make a complaint to the BBB in over 25 years. I believe this complaint has no merit.
