  My experience with ****** at *** ART Jewelers, *********** was very frustrating and unproductive. I had 2 diamond rings appraised at this store. I am not satisfied, because the appraised value of my jewelry was determined to be lower, by over $900 than an appraisal I already have on the same jewelry almost 10 years ago at another area jewelry store. By comparison, her appraiser indicates a smaller measurement of 14 diamonds in the double wrap and on the solitaire diamond, which gives a lower total weight of just at !/4 carat She repeatedly tried to tell me, my 2015 appraisal was overinflated. She also said I had been paying too much for insurance coverage on this inflated value, even though I did not offer any information about my insurance rates.She flatly declined to make a refund of the $257.40 paid for the appraisal, even though it is of no value. It does nothing to document how much my jewelry has increased in value in 9+ years. She did offer to have another appraiser look at my rings, but I had already waited 2 months to have this one scheduled in this store.She refused to offer a refund, even though this appraisal is well below the documented value of years ago. I am not someone who wants 'something for nothing', but I expected to receive a useful appraisal I could pass on to my insurance. When in fact, it is not ! Hence, I feel a refund of the amount paid for this service is not expecting too much.Also, She was more disturbed that she was 'on phone with' me after closing time (about 30 minutes) and hung up the phone after saying she had family at home waiting for her. Not appropriate, professional or helpful.

  *****, Again i will tell you that i stand behind my appraiser 100%. I repeatedly told you that our business 100% guaranteed that we could replace your rings for what we appraised them at.When your appraisal is higher than it should be, you pay a higher premium on your insurance than you should. My appraiser has 33 years experience, With a Graduate Gemologist (GIA) ************** I truly went above and beyond buy giving you my personal cell phone number. We as a reputable business, will not over value a customers merchandise, when we can replace your ring for what it was apprised for. (And still make money) I don't know how i could have been anymore accommodating ***************. I did tell you several times that i stayed after to make sure your value questions were answered. The only way i could have made you happy was to lie about the value of your jewelry or give you your money back. I most definitely told you that i had children and grandchildren visiting at my house waiting for me and i was 45 minuets late getting home to my family. I also told you i was going to hang up now and have a good weekend, and if you liked, you could call me back Monday. We have been in business since 1936 That is 88 years. We pride ourselves as a locally owned family business with integrity, loyalty and personal service, that people can trust. I still keep my word and tell you again, that we will stand behind our appraiser 100%You have 2 copies of your appraisal one for you, and one for you insurance agent.Respectfully , ************************* ********************** ************
