Hired Eagle Eye Roofing to repair damaged fascia on the east end of my house. At the initial consultation I ask the representative to give a price quote to repair the damaged section and replace "the whole thing." We obviously had a different definition of "the whole thing" because all that was repaired was the side of the peak with the damaged trim. That would have been acceptable if the new trim met the old trim. It does not, there is a gap at the peak. I called the company to explain my displeasure with the work and sent pictures. Several months later a representative came to my home to investigate and promised it would be corrected. Following his visit, I received a bill for the initial repair. I paid the bill in full to avoid collection and avoid the damage to my credit score.

      Business Response

      Date: 03/05/2024

We were notified today 3/5/24 of this complaint and want to address the issue promptly. This customer came to us as a lead in August of 2023, and came under contract for a minor $400 fascia repair on 8/25/23. The repair consisted of removing four pieces of aluminum fascia wrap and replacing with new. The customer was notified via a phone call and voicemail on 10/4/23 about the upcoming installation as our repair lead times are roughly four weeks. On 10/9 a quality control phone call was made with no answer, along with a quality control email. We received no response to either despite the email being opened by the customer on 10/10. An additional quality control/invoice email was sent on 10/25 with no response. A voicemail was left again on 11/2 and 11/9 with no response from the customer. An invoice was sent again on 12/5 that was opened by the customer, however, no response to our company regarding the work performed. An additional voicemail was left on 12/15 along with an additional emailed invoice, again, no response. On January 8th, 2024, we finally heard back from the customer regarding this issue. The customer contacted her salesman and apologized for taking so long to get back to us regarding this issue due to several family member issues. keep in mind at this point the fascia had been installed for over three months with no mention of issues. The initial issue was described as a possible spot where birds were nesting in a small gap in the fascia with a photo sent via text message. Two days later, her salesman responded to her residence and inspected the area. It was determined that a small gap remained at the peak of a gable. Company ownership decided to schedule a replacement for the fascia metal, however, due to flu season, our office was out of commission for roughly 3-4 weeks. Once all employees recovered, the fascia was installed on 2/23/24. Ownership made contact with the customer that day and explained to her that all pieces were in fact replaced, and it was shown to her that the metal all matched and had a consistent nailing pattern. Despite this, all pieces of metal fascia were replaced and the top gap was closed. We hope this issue can now be resolved and would have addressed this four months ago, had we known it was an issue. We strive for our customers to be happy with our work on all jobs, whether that be a $400 fascia repair or a $400,000 commercial roof.
