    I purchased a graphics card on Provantage. After ~7 weeks without getting the product and without hearing a peep from Provantage, I contacted them asking for an update. They told me that the item was out of stock, they were cancelling the order, and that they had no way of knowing if was out of stock unless the specific product vendor tells them so. The vendors, of course, have no motive or reason to do that. So this is a website that sells products then don't have, doesn't have any idea that they are doing it, and doesn't care that this is happening.

    The graphics card that was ordered was heavily backordered at the time. Prior to the order there was a notification that this line item was unavailable to ship. While we do apologize, unfortunately throughout the course of this backorder we were informed by our distribution partners that this line item had since become discontinued, and we had sent confirmation notifying you that we would be unable to complete this order. While discontinuations are not common, they do occur from time to time. These are outside of our control, we apologize for any inconvenience.

    I guess Provantage thought they could make themselves look better by lying here on a BBB complaint, but that ain't gonna work.
    They write above - "throughout the course of this backorder we were informed by our distribution partners that this line item had since become discontinued, and we had sent confirmation notifying you that we would be unable to complete this order"
    This DIRECTLY contradicts what they wrote to me after I contacted them after 7 weeks of hearing nothing from them. Here's the exchange:
    "Hi ******* - Any update on the graphics card?  Thanks."
    "I am checking on this" (next email) "I am getting that this has been discontinued and the order will be cancelled.  I will advise once cancelled.  I do apologize, we do not know items are discontinued unless they let us know or we ask."
    You didn't send the item or contact me for 7 weeks. I contact you asking for an update, and you respond that you'll check, and then respond that it's cancelled and you weren't responsible for not knowing. In your dishonest response above, you claim that you WERE informed by distribution that it was discontinued and that you notified me of the cancellation. NONE of that happened until I followed up with you after SEVEN WEEKS, prompting you to do what a responsible, honest company would have done in a reasonable time frame without prompting from the customer.
    So stop lying Provantage. You aren't an honest company, and your dishonest response to this complaint doesn't help.

    They made it incredibly difficult to make a purchase and I eventually gave up. They wouldn't accept anything except a bank wire transfer, which is insane. I've made countless purchases with the same credit card and paypal accounts for years with no issues from a single retailer, but they "couldn't verify" my information, would not offer any explanation for it, and would only accept a wire transfer. Very bizarre and frustrating.

    Ordered a i7 13700kf on 29NOV2022. Delivery date was 02DEC-08DEC2022. My package wasn't delivered till 10DEC2022, Unfortunately I was scheduled to be at work overnight and the Porch pirates got to it first. I wouldn't recommend ordering through this company as they use long shipping services, possibly
    so they can cut back costs on their end. I won't be covered from Amazon for this as Provantage is a third party seller. Bad luck on my end I guess. I would recommend only ordering from Amazon themselves especially on pricey items.

    Good evening, We show this order was placed through ****** marketplace. According to tracking details this order was shipped and delivered to the ship to address provided to us through ******. While we do apologize ****** Marketplace does not ensure shipments for stolen goods. In these instances we do have to refer end users to file a police report for any stolen merchandise. If anything is needed from us on our end as far as Proof of Delivery / Proof of purchase - Invoice, to assist in filing report please let us know and we will be happy to provide.
