I had my dog cremated at this place in 2021. I never opened up the box. It was had two screws in it and I left it closed. and fast forward to now I seen a horrible arrest and Pennsylvania where I’m back living now at this man instead of cremating these dogs and cats that people paid for he dumped their bodies in a landfill, so people started looking at their pets ashes and making sure they were OK and they said that a red flag is if the ashes aren’t sealed if they’re in just a bag so lo and behold I open up my Abby‘s ashes and they are in a sandwich bag and there’s no tag no sticker no ID at all in there I called up the veterinarian who were completely rude with me. They said they had the tags and they didn’t have to put them with the bodies and I asked them how they made sure that they don’t get confused and mixed up. She had no answer for me. I then asked her about the Ziploc’s, which I thought was horrible. She had no answers for me and was completely rude. When I told her I was gonna be contacting the Attorney General. She said oh well if you wanna go that route and she hung up on me. I did call back the next day and I just tried to speak to the front desk and asked them for a cremation certificate from my dog and they said they don’t have those so I asked if they had any records of cremating my dog and was hung up on again. I don’t believe that they are practicing properly. I don’t even know if it’s really my dog ashes that I got back and it is very unsettling. I hope the attorney general looks into this awful place.

    Dear Raina,
We’re very sorry that this situation has caused you distress, especially as it relates to the memory of your dog. We understand how emotional and personal it is to revisit your pet’s passing, even years later, and we know recent news reports may have raised concerns for some families.

To help clarify, Animal Clinic Northview operates its own on-site crematory—we do not use third-party providers. This allows us to oversee the entire aftercare process from start to finish and follow established protocols designed to ensure that each pet is handled with respect and individualized care. Identification procedures are in place throughout the process, even if external packaging or labeling varies from what other facilities may provide.

We’re sorry to hear that your recent phone interactions left you feeling dismissed. That is not how we want anyone to feel, and we’re reviewing this internally. We would be glad to discuss this further for more clarity on how our process works, but rest assured pets to be cremated at our clinic are handled with dignity, processed with proper identification and placed in a labeled urn in a manner that ensure a long term storage. You’re welcome to contact us at (440) 327-8282.

We take all feedback seriously and remain committed to transparency and compassionate care.

    Dear ********,
We want to express our heartfelt concern for Rocco's situation and the distress you've experienced. Your dedication to Rocco's care, especially during his treatment for lymphoma, is commendable, and we deeply respect the trust you placed in us over the years.
We understand that facing a beloved pet's serious illness can be incredibly stressful and emotional. Our goal has always been to provide the best possible care and support for both you and Rocco. However, it has become increasingly clear that our efforts have not aligned with your expectations, leading to frustration on both sides.
The decision to discontinue our professional relationship was not made lightly. It followed careful consideration and consultation among our team, including Dr. ****** whom you've known and trusted for nearly a decade. Our priority is ensuring that all our patients receive the care and attention they need in a cooperative and mutually respectful environment. Unfortunately, repeated instances of dissatisfaction, complaints, and interactions that our team found challenging have led us to conclude that we may not be the best fit for your needs.
We provided a referral to another hospital equipped to continue Rocco's treatment because we genuinely care about his well-being. Our intention was never to leave you without options for his care but to suggest a fresh start might be beneficial for everyone involved, especially Rocco.
Please know, your feedback about your experiences has been taken seriously. It will be a part of our ongoing discussions on how we can improve communication and patient care. Our commitment to our patients and their families remains unwavering, and it's with Rocco's best interest in heart that we believe a new veterinary team may offer the support and satisfaction we have been unable to provide.
We wish you and Rocco all the best and hope for his comfort and recovery. If you have any further concerns about his care or need assistance during this transition, please feel free to reach out directly to the hospital we recommended.

On November 26, 2023, a Sunday, I found my cat, Stella in a very bad way. Stella was 7 years old, a long-haired torteshell. She had been missing for over a week. She was weak, but still able to walk. I called my regular veterinarian and got a voice mail directing me to Northview or Pet Med in Cleveland. I live in Amherst, so I called Northview. They told me to come in. I took Stella there. First a young vet tech came in, I told them what happened. They took her temperature, said nothing. I waited. Another young vet tech came in. Asked to do blood work, I agreed. I waited about an hour or so. Another vet tech, maybe veterinarian, came in. She showed me blood work results on computer. She said it all looked good. Kidneys were good, that was the concern. Stella had an infection and trauma. I asked her if they gave Stella an antibiotic injection. She said no, because I was going to give her Clavamox liquid antibiotic. She told me that Stella would be just fine, take her home. I had my doubts, and now regret not having spoken them. I paid $594 and came home. I sat on my kitchen floor and syringed the medicine into Stella. From what they told me, I thought she would be better, or the same, in the morning. She was not. She was unable to stand up in the morning. She died November 27, 2023. If the veterinarian had known what they were doing, they would have kept her there on fluids and feeding tubes. I believe Stella died due to their carelessness.

Hello *******  Thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry for the loss of your beloved Stella. Our team puts patient care as a top priority and Stella was most certainly one of them. We are sorry your appointed did not go as you expected. While our team was trying to run different diagnostics based off Stella's symptoms presented, we ran the blood work you approved and prescribed medications and gave fluids to Stella based off those findings and approval. Our hearts go out to you during this difficult time. We are happy to discuss any other concerns with you, please contact us directly.

Horrible experience. If you are looking for a place that cares about your pet's health, go somewhere else because what they care about is only the bill and your money. And the staff is rude. You call for an emergency it only tells you how much the cost will be. And if you go three times, each time I change medications, more labs and tests and your pet gets worse and worse. The most important phrase IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY THEN LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE. after of course charging you more than $1,000.

    Dear Magda,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear you feel your visit was less than our standard. We understand when your pet is sick it can be emotional and upsetting as they can't tell you what’s wrong. Our staff puts patient and client care as the highest priority, all while our medical team is giving every effort to try and diagnose your pets symptoms and get them back to feeling themselves again. When you come in on emergency, it is not always possible to see the same doctor as you indicated you wanted to do. We know it is always hard to watch our pets get sick and not know exactly what is wrong with them, which is why we run different diagnostics based off your pets symptoms and correlate medications to those symptoms. How your pet responds to medications can vary and sometimes additional medications or a change in medication is needed to find what your pet will respond to. We are happy to discuss your concerns further. Please feel free to reach out to us at your convenience.

Successful surgery and poor POST-OP care. Animal Clinic Northview did two things that never should be done. They injected an NSAID into a dog who's kidneys were stressed and numbers elevated. Then they pumped fluids for three days without properly monitoring his output, he drowned in those fluids. I will not forgive myself for not being a stronger advocate to Cole. I put my trust in Animal Clinic Northview and Cole was rewarded with a painful and unwarranted death. I'm sorry Cole

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are so very sorry for your loss of your beloved Cole. We are committed to giving the highest standard of care and compassion to our patients. We are sorry Cole was so sick upon presentation with internal bleeding, needing a blood transfusion when he came in. Cole's blood pressure had dropped significantly and we needed to present fluids to help bring it back up to normal. We are happy to talk with you regarding any further concerns you may have. Please reach out to us when you feel you are ready. Our hearts go out to you during this difficult time.

Sunday Oct. 1st 2023 we called the clinic and told them we needed to bring our cat into to be euthanized. We were told in Friday by our Veterinarian that he had an inoperable abdominal tumor. We were not ready at that time to put him down. On Sunday evening he was progressively worsening. They told us the price of the euthanasia. We arrived about 40 minutes later, my husband and cat were taken into a room. Our cat was weighed and then my husband was asked for his credit card. He was never seen again by anyone. After 1 1/2 hours he came out with the cat in the carrier and said “He’s dead and no one has been into the room”. He described the death as horrific. Prior to the death the cat was crying throughout the stay and proceeded to stuggle to breathe. This was so inhumane. A euthanasia is not a prolonged visit. There was only one vet on duty with one technician. Unacceptable, especially because this is a huge practice.
Thank you for taking the time to review this matter.

My dog Sherman was brought in. Considering they claim they have a 5 star rating on their website. Gdv is what little Sherman had. We immediately rushed him there. This can be treated with proper care. Arrival was at 8.26 p.m. had to call to get in door. Sherman was weighed n we were sent to room 8. After 2 hours of violent vomiting. Requesting multiple pee pads. And constant asking wheres the dr. We were repeatedly told by staff itll be just a little bit more. We started to panic 2 hrs in the dog hadn't even had its temperature taken yet. We called a vet e.r. in brook park by this time they were filling up. We finally got to see the Dr after moving rooms due to the amount of vomiting. If staff told me at 826 p.m. I would wait 3.36 min because they are understaffed I would have left. 1207 the next morning Sherman finally gets his temperature taken. Then off for xrays. Immediately the dr comes in talking about the most affordable plan. N what the cost of this 3.36 min emergency cost is. I immediately told the Dr emergency almost 4hrs later. I then told the Dr money is no issue. I probably make more than he does. But because we're in pajamas n covered in vomit we treated like white trash. At this time Dr is all happy money is no object so now he orders a barrage of test. We see our little Sherman at 1246 finally getting fluids We wish him the best. And tell him we'll see him in the morning. Apparently at 1 am Sherman started dying. Meanwhile we are at home up till 330. No calls. Dr calls gf in morning 720 a.m. says Sherman is deceased. She wakes me I call him. Dr. ****** he nonchalantly tells me you dog died last night. Well gee I wonder why.. I went to a facility that shows 15 drs on their payroll. But none there that night. So I proceeded to tell Dr. ******* that they will not touch my dog and I will be picking him up to take him to another facility to be cremated. Their paperwork was fraudulent and I have timeliness proof! If the owners wanna see it the board!

I took my female there for a checkup on the day she pulled off the road to check her in the way. They said she needed csection that day. That reverse progesterone was 1 (which can indicate being in labor). I have an ultrasound machine at home. When I left that morning with the pregnant *****, all puppies had normal heart beats. My ***** was there in the morning, but the vet came in and said another ***** had one dead puppy already and needed the csection more than mine. My ***** waited 5 hours before they started her csection. That’s problem number one. If she needed it, then she should’ve been first. She was there first. May I add the value of this *****. She was Winners ***** at the Nationals, her litter mate was the number one dog in the country for our breed. She was bred to similar quality male. She was doing fine prior to surgery. I stood and watched the vet very slowly pull puppies out. He had no urgency in getting the puppies out. He handed each puppy to a vet tech. Problem number 2, The vet techs never gave the needed epinephrine nor rubbed the puppies hard enough to stimulate them. I have delivered numerous litters. That’s not how to stimulate weak puppies. I heard a couple techs mention weak heart beats. All 6 puppies died! I’m told that it’s my *****es fault. A ***** that had 5 live puppies the time before. Yes it was csection, but these puppies were alive that morning.problem number 3, I talked to other breeders and another vet. I believe either they waited too long for csection (put other ***** in front of her) or they overdosed the ***** with anesthesia and basically euthanized the puppies. Other breeders I have talked to had similar complaints for this office and prior to me even telling the story, said that their litters were over dosed with anesthesia during csection. These breeders are willing to testify. The value that I have lost in the puppies exceeds the costs of puppies and they still charged thousands for the surgery. The puppy I would’ve ke

    Dear ******,
Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear your experience did not meet your expectations. All emergencies are triaged and treated in order of the level of urgency that we determine necessary. All emergency facilities have a limited number of doctors and resources available. We are doing the best that we can as to handling all the critical emergencies coming in.
As to the medical care your pet received, we stand by our anesthetic and surgical protocols, have accurate documentation to support proper dosing, and provide a veterinary team with more experience in both, delivering and resuscitating neonates than most clinics in the country. Our goal is the same as yours, live, healthy puppies. It is unfortunate that this litter had 2 mummified fetuses and 6 puppies that were not fully formed at the time of delivery.
This was a sad outcome, and we wish you better luck in your future breedings.

    Tambrie

    Date: 10/06/2022

    1. I was there! I saw the puppies! They were fully formed!
    2. Dr ********** made a reputation of saving neonates, not all the new young vets providing care there! I’m glad you stand behind your staff. Will see how that turns out.
    3. Waiting 5 hours for a section, because of “priority” so my dying puppies weren’t a priority why she was there first!? Did you ultrasound or monitor the puppies!
4 I don’t appreciate treating me or anyone else this way! I’m a doctor and have an ultrasound. Please send me all the detailed records of how much anesthesia was given, better not have been altered from what was truely given.
5, I’ve discussed with other breeders who had the same concerns, maybe you should look at your anesthesia protocol. I’m trying to save others from this heart break.

Not a single person cares for the animals or the customers. I had an er visit and had to have another one the following day since the four hours they kept us there wasn't enough to give us a full answer as to what was wrong with my cat. Gave us medication for something they didn't know was wrong or not in my cat. Never did they offer my cat water. Never did they inform us of what was happening. The employees are insanely rude and condescending. Its a surprise they aren't shut down.
