I may or may not have a problem with this company. Saturday (8-13 -22) I called 3 companies to get estimates on having a tree removed. Bob called Sunday afternoon and said he could come immediately and give me an estimate. After looking at the tree he wrote up an estimate and handed it to me and told me to sign it. I did and gave it back to him and realized what I had done. I asked why he had me sign it as I have never signed any estimate before. He said "It's just an estimate don't worry." I had already told him I had contacted 2 other tree services and would contact others if I did not have at least 3 estimates to compare and he was fine with that. I realized I made a mistake by signing the estimate and tried calling him this morning (8-15-22) to be sure we were in agreement that this was only an estimate. I also would like a more complete estimate. This estimate has no details or info about the work to be performed. I cannot believe I signed such a document.
The way this was done seems wrong. At this time I have no other estimates.

Good afternoon *****, I do apologize that you were upset/uneasy about signing our estimate. If you did not feel comfortable signing the estimate, please know that you did not have to sign the paperwork at all. The customers signature as well as Bob's signature is an agreement on the price estimated, it is not a binding agreement; this is the first step. The paperwork shows "estimate" at the very top. The next step, if you hired us, would be a contract for work which would detail the work to be completed and a projected start date to begin the work. After the work is complete, we also provide a completed invoice which shows a "paid in full" date as well as what payment was used. This has been our paperwork process since we begin the company and this is how we keep track of paperwork and jobs on our end.
