      10/28/22 I had furnace inspector **** ****** from A-1 inspect my furnace due to smelling electrical burning and smoke and fire dept recommendation to hire hvac. **** said my furnace exchanger was cracked and omitting carbon dioxide and red tagged the furnace. He said due to a metal shortage he recommends replacing the furnace instead of the exchanger. After finding a burnt outlet in an adjacent room I requested they come back out and turn my furnace on and instead of doing that he brought his camera and phone with pictures showing me the cracks that could have been anyones and said we need to replace. On 11/14 I had ****** ************* out to inspect so they could replace. ************* opened up my furnace and showed me small scratches from a camera being inserted into furnace. It was in great condition with color and rings that were still in place. ************* also connected their electrical checker that showed the carbon dioxide level the furnace emitted was extremely low and my furnace is operating at 82% efficiency. My furnace is now turned back on without any repairs needed! I went 2 weeks and 3 days with no heat and 2 sick kids due to **** ****** and his lies! I had to purchase electrical heaters that barely helped. I would like to request that my $120 fee be refunded due to the trouble I went through with this company or I will file a lawsuit.

      It is our policy to check every furnace for safety. Our technician first conducted a combustion analysis which revealed 18 ppm of carbon monoxide on her twenty year old 80% efficient furnace. This finding was backed up with a camera check of the heat exchanger that revealed four straight lines that appear to be cracks. Scratches from the camera would present as jagged lines. As always, we would have been happy to show and discuss our findings to any licensed HVAC technician. A refund check has been mailed to Ms. ****** as requested.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would however like to state he never had a meter with him to measure CO he just stated that if theres cracks I see with the camera we have to shut it off due to carbon dioxide. I recommend that if they "see" cracks on the camera to go ahead and open the furnace up to the heat exchanger so they can investigate and see for sure. After ****** second visit and seeing the burnt outlet in adjacent room as the culprit he should have done just that. Instead he acted as if it were too hard to open up the furnace and get to the heat exchanger to inspect it physically and tagged the furnace. He left us without heat for weeks for no reason other than to make a bigger profit on a new furnace.
