Business installed a new concrete driveway at our home. After a period of time the aggregate began to show through the surface of the concrete. I assume the aggregate (stones) is immediately under the surface. Additionally, several “pots” above the aggregate have occurred, exposing the stone below the hole. My assumption is that this will continue over time resulting in a deficiency to the total surface of the driveway.
Made multiple calls to contractor to come and inspect the driveway and offer a resolution to prevent total failure of the driveway. One phone was answered by a female who said she pass request to one of the associates affiliated with company. No response.

How do I reopen an existing complaint ********?

Contractor came on December 8, 2023, and applied a seal. However, this only intensified the view of the aggregate by coloring them brown. This did not solve the original problem of popping off pieces of concrete above the highlighted aggregate. I think this is going to be a continuous problem over an extended period of time. I called the contractor and requested he come and inspect the condition and negative result of applying the seal. He never came nor made contact with me. I feel the only solution to this condition of the concrete driveway and future failures is to replace the entire driveway. Adjacent homeowners who had a replacement of driveway does not display similar defective condition.

9.5.2024, Summary of call with Eddie Moore. KG received a phone call from Eddie Moore cell ************. He said the pour was done per industry standards and work was done several years ago. No written contract. Verbal agreement consumer paid by check. Eddie said when he first looked at driveway consumer complained about a few small crater areas where small limestone stones came out. Eddie stated this is cosmetic issue and not structural. Eddie stated that he does not offer a warranty on concrete. Concrete driveway is exposed to salt from roads in winter etc. Eddie said he will not replace the driveway as it is structurally sound. Eddie said he sealed the driveway and consumer is complaining about discolor which is something that can happen.

I am rejecting this response because: I never heard of a contractor doing this type of work and there no warranty on this project. What protects the consumers for deficiencies in their work due to bad workmanship like this? This pop out of pieces of the concrete will continue.

    Regards,
