I rented the hall 4/23/23 for an Eid celebration until 12:30. The Eid celebration is about the children. It was ruined for the children and everyone else. This party was planned over several months. People paid to attend party and expected a good party. Everyone’s party was ruined. People are going to ask to have their money returned and I don’t have it. Around 9:30 a young child set off the fire alarm. The owner came in and turned off the alarm. He turned the lights off (scaring the children!!) and told us we need to leave. He threatened to call the police. People were still eating. We asked if we could stay and finished eating-no music or anything just eat. Desserts had not been served yet. He said no you need to leave now. I told him this is a business and I paid my money he said, I don’t care. The kids were crying. He was using profanity and yelling. He kept telling us to leave. He said he was fined $950 for fire alarm. We asked to see the fine. He said I don’t have it right now but I can show it to you tomorrow. People were frightened and grabbed their things and left right away. He threw away the food-uncut cakes and the other food.I had person that speaks English call him on 4/24/23 for me. She told him that ****** was upset. He said, I’m upset. She said it was a young child-he said parent should watch them.( Children are usually able to move about a party without a parent on top of them). He would not discuss further and said goodbye. He called a few weeks before the party asking to cancel because other people wanted to rent it.
