    11/14/21 - Owner of Asphalt Paving Solutions (APS) cold call knocked on my door. A clean cut articulate young man persuaded me to have my driveway seal coated with the promises that it would last me 7-8 years and if I had ANY problems, they would resolve it ASAP. I agreed for APS to do the work for $1,200. By early March, I noticed the driveway in many spots was looking like it hadn't been coated for a long time. I reached out to the company in March and April and they explained they would get back with me once they started their seal coating season in the spring. In June, I contacted the company again and they indicated they would 'get me on their schedule'. A few weeks passed and I contacted APS again. This time, their tone changed and they refused to even come out and inspect their work product and instead, blamed me for the faulty work, then denied telling me they told me it would last for 7-8 years. Their website guarantees satisfaction. That is a lie unfortunately.

    Receipt provided clearly states there is no product warmth that it would last 7-8 years a seal coat only last 1 year maybe 2 due to the condition of your driveway no maintenance was done for at least 5 years you stated we recommended a double coat for more coat you denied that offer we apologize for your inconvenience but would recommend getting it re done rather from our Buisnees or someone else thank you APS

    I just had the chance to review the business’s response to my complaint. They say “the receipt provided clearly states there is no product warmth (assuming they mean warrant)”.

    I have attached the receipt to prove that is a lie. 

    They say they told me I needed 2 coats and I declined. That also is a lie and also not noted on the receipt. Why would I agree to pay $1,200 for a service for my driveway to not get properly resealed?? The owner told me explicitly the job he would do would last me ‘7-8 years with his special product’. And that’s why I agreed and what we shook hands on. 

    I’ve attached their company logo from their website that ‘guarantees satisfaction’ and “top notch work” yet this company wouldn’t even come out and look at their job. I attached photos that show the very poor quality seal job and very poor crack repair attempt. I’m hoping your organization can help make it harder for this conman to prey on other consumers. Thank you

    We have stated in the past that a sealcoat only last 1 year depending on the state of your driveway which it was very poor and you was told you needed double coated and declined we are not responsible for your driveway we apologize you feel this way but the Ohio Secretary of States office told our company and you this is a civil matter have a nice day and happy holidays

    I paid them 1500 dollars to resurface my driveway. The product failed after 4 months and I’ve spent the last 7 months trying to get them to fix it. They were supposed to be here Monday October 3rd and no one showed up .

    As told multiple times from our staff at office we are very short handed on labor workers the driveway will be fixed but only when we get chance to do so until there if you would stop emailing and calling our business every hour of the day we could get to it a lot sooner thank you and we don’t appreciate the review on bbb when you have emails from today stating that we are going to get it fixed by the end of this week or 1st thing of next week thanks have a great day
